The Rockets have been saying for weeks that at the end of games, they want to put more emphasis on playing through their perimeter guys. Specifically, Aaron Brooks or Kyle Lowry. They recognize that it's just damn hard to rely on a low post center to close a game for you in today's league.

Yes, but I don't think that's really the issue. The issue is who would you rather have down the stretch? Yao has a far mroe reliable post game and can shoot free throws.

Whether or not we want a more a wing oriented offense doesn't have much to do with which center would you rather have.

Is rebounding not important down the stretch of games? I'd feel more secure in us controlling the defensive boards with Dwight Howard on the floor. I think that's pretty important down the stretch also.

Absolutely. That's part of the argument.

Hey don't get me wrong. I'm taking the Durvasa approach. I'm just throwing out hypotheticals regardless of what I believe :D

Honestly, if I'm playing any team other than the Suns or Rockets (Shaq and Yao) I want Howard. If I'm playing one of those teams, or switch Rockets with Magic, I want Yao. That came out more confusing than I wanted, but I think you understand.
