In my experience (if it is an ingrown toenail) just antibitics will not cure the problem that is a dirty forign body in the patient's toe. in this case the antibiotics are only delaying the inevitable. once staph gets close to the bone it is one of the most common causes of bone infections.
Man, this is such a downer. Get well soon Yao! At least the schedule is not as murderous as it was when Tracy was out. [/silver lining]
Well, just about everything that could have gone wrong with this season has happened. The only other thing that hasn't happened, is us having TMAC and Yao out at the same time. Now that would be awefule.
They re-ran animal house like once a month. The young guns all know about it. Now the Airplane jokes that my senior co-workers like to use completely threw me off sometimes.
Well, this sucks. I was hoping to see the 7'6" freak out of china tomorow. I haven't seen Yao yet and really wanted to watch him play. Dangit. Oh well, atleast TMAC will be there. My seats tomorow: Sect 409 Row 4 seats 7-8
hmm someome needs to watch the super kick asss movie... . Animal House... (the grammatical errors were on purpose, to copy what the previous poster wrote in his qoute. )
it'd be cool if we finally land and sign a hometown player. Hopefully they won't make the same mistake like when they didn't pick up rashard lewis when they had the chance. Other H-Town raised players: T.J. Ford Mek Okafor ....and the list goes on... but in the case of D Gib, he still has some learning to do in Austin. So does Alridge! They, and the whole team, were exposed by J.J. Reddick and the Vols.
From 610 sports... JVG is saying Yao will be out 6-8 weeks. I say he's back in 7. Could have been worse. The goal should be to play at least .500 basketball until he gets back. That's the worst we can afford to do. The hole they dug themselves in getting out of the gate doesn't give them much room for error right now. The key is getting Mutumbo back healthy asap. If he can come back healthy and give solid minutes and Mcgrady's play stays on par with his play during the recent road trip, the Rockets will be OK.
Let's hope 6-8 is all it takes. Bacterial bone infections are pretty serious things. Here's to hoping they've gotten it cleaned out enough and that the antibiotics take hold and zero complications. For the medically challenged, this is not something to mess around with. Pretty scary stuff.
