Thanks. I looked him up and that's exactly who I'm thinking of.

Who has said Yao is better than the DREAM? If no one has said it then why did you make this post? You are the only joker here.

I was there during his prime, I saw him when he was the Blazers plug down low--I don't recall him being moblie by any stretch. That, and his knees ALWAYS hampered him. He was the last player I watched that still did an old-school Sky Hook

I might be misunderstanding you (if so, my apologies). If you think that Sabas's prime came during his time with the Blazers, that's simply not true. He had done his legs in well before he ever came over to the NBA. By the time he got to the NBA, he could no longer be considered as being in his 'prime' ..

Sabonis was waaaaaaaaaaaay past his prime by the time he finally made it to the NBA and played for the Blazers. His knees were shot, and he was much heftier than his international days. But if you get a chance to watch footage from the 1988 Olympics, Sabonis was a beast. There's one play that I've seen where a rebound goes up and David Robinson is reaching for it, but then Sabonis comes flying in from out of nowhere to slam it down right on top of the Admiral's head. It was nasty.

    hehehe "old timer" ;)

Let me retract then, I saw him in the NBA--I didn't have much exposure to his prowess before the NBA. In the NBA, athletic and his name were oil and water. Even though I can remeber games were he stuffed Dream, he normally looked like a fat Shawn Bradley

Gonna shut this thread down now... I don't know what it's about anymore... Samurais, Chinese being offended, Sabonis, Jet Li...
