Yao has been taking crap from EVERYONE. That's why no one respects him. You can put gay little smilies in your posts as much as you want but the fact remains that most people in the NBA think Yao is a b****. One day Yao is really going to get hurt because of this perception.

dude, ur concern for yao is really appreciated here, but cmon, yao knows what his image is like in the nba, he'll get more and more respects as the season progresses both from refrees and opponents.

and not sure what do u mean by saying most ppl in the nba think yao is a b****.

    Why?

They gonna pull a gun out and shoot him cause he is thought of as "a b****"?

Give me a break. His still 310 pounds on the court.

the commentators on sportscenter are STILL talking about this block, and they need to get over it. It's ridiculous. One play doesnt make a game. The dunk by Caron Butler was nice, and a good highlight, but hell...it's the NBA, there are going to be dunks, blocks, steals, etc....people shouldnt really give a crap about anything but the win....Nate Robinson is a poor man's Spud Webb, at this point....he's almost a novelty...I'm with JVG, where is all the hate for yao coming from....

it is a foul, even if it is a clean block, so what? u block u opponent n u opponent block u during the game is just normal, i can't see why it is such a big deal?

**** the haters. Yao should bump some Tupac and analyze the lyrics.
He should listen to Ambitions as a ridah and Me against the world.

in all reality its these types of "Top 10" sportscenter plays that Yao seems to be always on the wrong side that really hurt Yao's image as a dominant center. In your face dunks and thanksgiving stuffing blocks are not the way to go to get respect.

and i didnt like his response to the block. something like big deal I've been blocked by a guy 5'3.

I didn't say that I am not a newb.. even though I've been reading the board for a very long time before I was a member, I am considered a newb ... it wasn't intended to be offensive or anything... I just found it funny that all the new members have problems with NewYorker... every thread I go to, I find NewYorker going against all the new members..

and no, I dont think that Yao faked getting smacked in the eye.. I already said in earlier posts that it was a foul, but officials overlooked it because the guy is freakin 5'9...

I just dont think it's worth it having this huge disagreement over a stupid thing like this block.. we are actually helping ESPN and NBA TV make a big thing out of it... Yao got blocked, ok.. it's pretty embarrassing, alright... he got fouled, no doubt about it... he should be more aggressive, absolutely... that's it.. it's pretty simple.. I actually dont think this whole thing is worth a thread by itself... now having a big disagreement over something as silly as this would only imply that you are either a YOF or a Yao hater.. then you have all the other regular rockets fans that are neutral in this issue and didn't pay alot of attention to such a silly incident... when I said the YOF thing, I didn't direct it towards u or MacGreat or anybody else.. I am just implying that going this deep defending Yao in such a silly issue would make u a YOF...

oh and btw, I am not a Mac-Only-Fan.. the "Mac" in "RocketsMac" comes from my real nickname that I go by in everyday life... yes, everybody calls me Mac.. I've had this name even before I knew who the rockets are.. so the "Mac" has nothing to do with "Tmac".. it's just a coincidence ...

5'3" Muggsy Bogues once blocked 7' Patrick Ewing in a game once. A 21 inch height differential, same as the one between Robison and Yao, but Muggsy doesn't have the same hops as Nate. It's no big deal though, as the Rockets won this game.

If we have to pick someone to be called a TOF here, you are no doubt the first on my list. I think your past posts speak volume. I am as much a Tmac fan as anyone can gets, but I wouldn't go as far like you to defend Tmac against every critcism and call anyone who critcizes Tmac a YOF. Tmac is a grown man and he doesn't need you to treat him like your younger brother and stand up for him all the time. Get real.

I have no idea why these newbs go after me so hard when all I'm doing in posting my OPINION. Geez...it's ridiculous - it's like a swarm of gnats you can't get away from - just keeps following you whereever you go. And it's the same posters, derailing threads that I start or post on. I don't like getting into the personal stuff, and despite putting them on ignore, I can see when other people quote them that they are STILL going on and on with the name-calling and personal defamation with statements that are contradictory and ridiculous. I've have no idea why these guys are obsessed with me. I'm hear to talk Rockets. Yeah, I poke a little fun at the YOF's because it's too much - but you'd think these guys would have a sense of humor and not take everything so harsh. I mean, they rip apart anyone who says anything remotely negative about Yao. They think ESPN is the evil empire and Kenny Smith is darth vader.

I've now have nearly 20 people on my ignore list - all but two of them YOF's. I should show it to you - it's hilarious.

Another post in which NewYorker gave himself away that his ignore list is a pathetic lie. Everyone can see he's now trying soooooo hard to explain how he could still read the posts of the people who are supposedly on his imaginary ignore list. Well, I agree it's a very tough job because it's really difficult to explain how you could read something which you have lied that you wouldn't be able to read, right? LOL. This liar is really fun to toy with. Right...he had the people on his ignore list but he could still read their, in his own words, 'name-calling and personal defamation with statements' at the same time. ROFL Does he really still expect anyone here will believe his lies by now? This NewYorker is insulting the intelligence of everyone here. Even a 5 years old can tell he's a pathetic liar now because it's so crystal clear. The funny thing is he has lied to have put about 20 people on his ignore list and honestly it's hard to keep track of so many names. The fact that he's really not a smart person make it even more difficult for him. Sooner or later, this NewYorker will give himself away time and time again by 'accidently' replying to the posts of some of these people who are supposedly on his imaginary ignore list, like how he has 'accidentally' replied to those who were supposedly on his imaginary ignore list before. This pathetic liar is really something. He is too easy, but he's tremendous fun to toy with. I can't deny I am having fun to expose this liar.
