Can't agree any more. Yao is not trustworthy in the last minutes.

In fact, every coach in the rocket should know that never let Yao play one on one in final several minutes because of the reason everyone known. Yao will not get any call from the refs like other stars. This is the faults of the coach and guards.

I'd rather go to your mama. I'm sure I can earn attention in some other way. BTW: nobody cares about any list of yours.

Talking about coaching... did Yao played WHOLE 24 minutes in the second half?? That to me is really bad coaching...

Yao was very efficient in the third quarter, and sort of lost himself at the beginning of the fourth quarter. That was when Adelman should rest him.

Maybe with some rest, Yao would have made the last hook shot, which he normally was able to make. Well, just maybe.

point out anyone who has said "yao cannot make mistakes"? if you can't, that just tells what kind of person you are.

on the contrary, in some's eyes, yao has to be perfect just to avoid criticism. not draw praise, but merely avoid criticism. missed a couple of free throws? not make the final shot? gee, how can you day yao is a great player?

more, even if yao gets fouled blatantly and doesn't get calls, somehow that is his fault, too - he should've held the ball tighter.

and all these come from a rockets board, a board of the home team yao plays for. we talk about respect and fair play by the refs? how 'bout some fair comments from the "fans" of his team first?

no wonder yao continues to receive unfair treatment. it's not so difficult to understand why it has been so extra hard for yao to succeed at a high level.

I thought it was ok that Rick let Yao have a rest while our substitutes are playing farily good against Hornets's substitues.

Sorry, my bad. I thought second Quarter

Yeah, you are right. I think the team depends on Yao too much and it's definitely better to have Yao have 2 or 3 minutes rest in the 4th quarter which Rick usually did before.

I just don't know how any one could blame Yao for losing this game at all - without his play, there would have been no clutch time. The game would have ended in 3 quarters and the entire 4th would have been garbage time. Yao played a terrific game but when he was the only one willing to shoot the ball, it makes the defense a bit easier, doesn't it? Foul or no foul, deep down I knew the rox had little chance in a close game. just like game 7 last season when even t-mac was not willing to shoot any more (well he was shooting horrible the whole series anyways). The bench played well in the second quarter but when the game was on the line, no one was confident enough to make a play any more. That's why the rox lose close games, and that's why you need stars on your team. It's what separates elite teams from good teams. Rox is a good team now and the talent is definitely there. They just need more time to progress - I was screaming for Scola to shoot the ball when he was wide open late in the fourth, but he passed it up. Scola should definitely start to further boost his confidence, especially today - it's not like Hayes was stopping West at all. Why not let Scola in for his offense? And Shane had really bad game - when they had 3 starters - Shane, Rafer, and Head - all had a bad game, I was surprised they even stayed in the game till the end. Again, fold or no foul, Yao can't win the game by himself - lots of people seem to forget Shaq played with Kobe, who is a lot better than T-Mac, and they had Horry, Fisher, Fox and the likes.

I'm a huge Yao fan, but the lack of calls is on Yao. He needs to use his starpower to call out the officiating on the court and in the media. You can't just be a quiet nice guy.

Throw your weight around Yao, no referee stands a chance against your fame. Look at the Tim Duncan case in the playoffs. The NBA practically threw that official out of the league. The NBA will never choose a referee over a superstar. Yao must force the issue.

Whatever refs, don't give him calls consistently, he needs to target them. Force them to T him up. Get thrown out of some games.

As long as all he does is wimper, he's never going to get calls. Yao let's hear you roar.

Agree with real_regal. I think Yao is still too gentleman for NBA. So is Houston -- Les, fans, team, coach ... That doesn't help us to get respect espeically in must-win games.

Question for the 'old' fans here: how did Houston handle this kind of issue at Dream's time?
