Bingo. The advantage to playing up high is it gives you more options to score -- that's why it's effective for a guy who's really explosive like Amare. The advantages for Yao would be not have a 250+ pound guy leaning on him all night. If you get him in space, you can get him moving, and he can maybe find open holes for TMac to deliver him the ball and get some easier buckets. If he wore down against Utah because he can't handle the rigors of 35 minutes in the post, then this is a reasonable alternative. I think is bread and butter still needs to be in the post, though. I don't want to see him as another Okur.
