All you ever do is just say negative things about Yao. Seriously, do you not like Yao as a player? You sound like a person that is just simply a rebel with no cause. You deliberately nit and pick at Yao and say negative things about him just to stand out and be heard. You're an idiot to say the least for thinking Yao is not a franchise player.

You have no idea what you're talking about. You might THINK that you're such an awesome analytical rockets fan but you simply just make a consistent attempt to downplay Yao because of the fact that Yao has so many fans.

I'm a rockets first fan and I get on Yao when he is not playing well, but I never fabricate the type of garbage that you put out there just because you have little man syndrome and you need to say something stupid to stand out. peace.

Take it easy! Dude, He's a Lakers fan trolling here. We all know that. All he's wanted is to see Yao get traded to Lakers. And, all other so called Rockets fans who are so eager to join his crusade are just YOHs.
    :p

Let yao rest 10 games, maybe you can get more evidences about what you said.Only one game and just win Bucks,I think you can not find anything from that.

Yeah keep on with your personal attacks. It's great when you generalize. Smelling Yao's jock strap hah. Good one ill give you a cookie for that one.
And fyi i was referring to my "one liner", not yours. If you can't figure that one out, just stop, please. If i were to go dig up your posts which i find very unrewarding and hence will not bother with, i'd say it would most likely be about yao sucking at this or yao sucking at that. lol this is the internet and i dont need to argue and give you a freaking speech on anything, so keep up with your well developed essays okay? SOmeone will try to debunk them I'm sure and you'll get a kick out of that. I have a communications class i have enough debates to worry about.
NOt going to bother to reply to you any longer, and yes, you're on my ignore too. Yell at me for telling you that also. chances are i won't see it.

p.s I got so off topic sorry :( i haven't read all the posts but um i just went back to my post. Had nothing to do with the topic, just pointing out Charvo has like pushed for a yao trade ever since the stone ages and you guys really shouldn't take his posts too seriously. I won't go back and look for his post about odom + mihm for yao, lol, but it's on this board somewhere.

Let me say that I want what is best for Yao and the Rockets. I've seen the criticism that is heaped upon athletes in Houston who make big money but don't live up to their contract. It's one thing for Yao to produce like he is doing now while on the rookie contract, but fans will be calling for his head if he is playing like this with a max contract. Most fans will not care whether or not he is making Les a lot of money in marketing.

There is a much larger Asian population base in Los Angeles, and that will cushion criticism if Yao does not perform up to expected. A lot of people will still want to go watch Yao even if he is not a star. Yao has said when he was drafted by the Rockets that he is happy to play in Houston where there is a moderately sized Asian population. However, he stated before the draft that he wanted to play for Golden State because he wanted play where his countrymen could watch him. Yao has a strong nationalistic pride as can be seen by the emotions on display during the Olympics. He still lives with his parents which means he needs a strong emotional support base. I'm no psychologist, but I think Yao would be more comfortable playing in front of large Asian crowds.

Somewhere on the board? It's everywhere on the board. Not a day goes by seemingly that Charvo doesn't suggest that deal. And when that Snow to Houston thread was here last night, I went over to the ESPN boards to check it out, and found a Charvo thread suggesting the same Odom+Mihm for Yao trade he brings up all the time over here. LOL. He's either a Mihm lover or a not-so-closet Laker fan. Even a hardcore Yao hater like Juugie would always suggest landing a decent post player like Zach Randolph.

I just wish people would stop quoting him. Then maybe this ignore list can do it's job.

I think when people see Mihm in the trade, they automatically think Mihm is the primary player in the trade. Lamar Odom is an athletic 6'10'' forward. He can play the small, and he can play the big too. After I watched Odom school Webber in the Kings game on national TV, I felt Odom would be excellent in JVG's defensive scheme and an offensive scheme that utilizes dominant wing men. Also, Caron Butler was heavily desired to be the Rockets draft pick a couple of seasons ago. I think he was drafted in the 2002.

What's up with focusing on Mihm? He's just a serviceable center that will be part of the trade. The key player is Odom.

Naaaaah, forget about all these talks about Yao Ming playing in cities like New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Toronto with millions of Asians/Chinese.

If I had not forgotten, Yao Ming had expressed very early on that he did not really look to play for teams in big cities with large Chinese/Asian communities as he looked for a transquil off-court life, out of the limelight and stayed away from being mobbed by his adoring fans.

And as he said at the end of his rookie season, if he was given a second chance to choose his team again, he would still opt for the Rockets and Houston without hesitation, as he thought the Rockets brought him joy and Houston suits his development. :D

I would hope that Yao gets the aggressiveness that will allow him to be a very big piece of a championship Rocket team. I think everyone here wants him to be successful with the Rockets. Can it happen though? That is the big question because I can safely say the current Yao will not be enough. When the team plays better with old man Dikembe on the court, that is a big negative. If it was the Yao in the Olympics with fire, this would probably not be an issue. The Yao playing for the Rockets has no fire. I don't know why. I basically threw out the theory that it was because maybe he wasn't comfortable in this environment. I don't think someone can be aggressive unless he is very confident and comfortable with his situation.

Ask any Chinese kid who got a 93 on a test instead of a 100 and see how his parents felt about it.

his parents live with him, not the other way around. oldest son takes care of parents, its the way things have been the last 5000 years.

Speak for yourself. That's just playing up the same old stereotypes about Asian families. I know plenty of Chinese families that didn't have quite so exacting standards. Mine included.
