In fact to the contrary, it was NOT harsh words from the media or fans on Yao Ming in China, as everyone knows that he had tried and given his best.

Instead, it was harsh words from the usual quiet and not outspoken Yao Ming on those blockheads sitting up there at the Chinese Basketball Association.

They should listen and take some action to these sober advice from Yao Ming, if they are really serious about China getting a medal in 2008 Olympics.

And in a separate Basketball Pioneers interview, Yao Ming said he had asked Jonas Kazlauskas, the head coach of the national team, to go, watch and scout more young and potential players into the national team in the coming CBA new season. He said they need not be good scorers, but they need to be strong and rugged, and they need to demonstrate that they can rebound, block shots or hustle, and have passion, fire, athletism, never-say-die fighting spirits. He said with the influx of these "thugs" into the national team, then gradually the whole mindset of the national team will change.
