JVG should tell Yao to start start screaming and pounding his chest after dunks (ala KMart). This would demonstrate that he has the "oomf" to play American basketball.

I think this whole Mcgrady exposed stuff is as stupid as the Yao exposed crap. It's not fair to Yao because it's more difficult for a big guy to put a team on his shoulders with the new rules so Mcgrady has a chance to be more effective when he has to go at it alone which he has been in terms of wins and losses but at the same time the burden is much greater on him with a few more rotation players out. even with that, we're still 2-2 and not 0-8. So I think we're a little better than a .500 ball club with Mcgrady and with the rotation players who are out now and a 8th seed at worst and a below .500 team with the present day Yao and the guys who are out and it's not a knock on Yao but it's a knock on the rules and style play in today's game, that, and, Yao has not reached his potential yet whereas Mcgrady is more dominating at times with his ability to score and create for others. So in essence his game is more beneficial to the team than Yao's is right now but not to the point where he makes us a contender. Yao alongside Mcgrayd makes the Rockets contenders. So if it's championships we want, they are equal in terms of importance, but if its just wins and losses
we're talking about, then Mcgrady will get us more wins, but we are not selfish fans like that are we.. so forget this whole discussion.

I see 1/3 with Yao out. We were blown out by one mediocore team and one bottom team. We were beat by offensively challenged Utah, which you may argur Tmac didnt play in the 2nd, but you cant just gave it. We lucked out in beating L.A.

We were close in most of the games while tmac was out, and that strech is probably toughest in the season.

Nobody can do it alone in this league. I dont think we are a 500 team without Yao.

well should i bring it up that we lost to orlando at home. worst offensive team in the league, right.and to tell you the truth, yeah, i can give us that game. you are not being honest if you think we lose that game if t-mac is playing but you probably would have wanted the team to lose because i understand that sorta thinking that goes on with you dudes. see because when you say goofy stuff like, 'the LA game was luck' I wonder about whats going on in that mind of yours when you are watching the rockets then you say 'you may argue if Tmac'.. no I'm not arguing nothing.. im telling you... the Rockets win that game easily if Tmac keeps playing which makes us 2 wins in 4 games and that is 2 more wins than we had when it was Yao without Mcgrady. I want to play dumb fan here and make you understand that Mcgrady and his style of play and more significantly his ability to create for his teammates is more important in terms of wins and losses than what Yao can do for us. But it's not a knock on Yao because Mgrady is just better at making his teammates better and although it hasn't showed in the last two losses the fact is he still gives us a better chance to win by himself than if it was just Yao by himself. And again, it's just a fact, it's nothing against a culture or a country or whatever, it's a basketball observation made by a basketball fan. ok, now im not playing dumb fan anymore and must tell you that I don't care about that, i want the Rockets to win, who scores, or who shines, or who outplays who doesnt matter, just win.

This kind of argument is going nowhere.

    Without Yao, we are a 30%, 40% or 50% team; without T-mac, we are a 20% team???

What counts is without either of them, we are not a playoff team.

P.S. Do you really think this rox can be at least a 8th seed without Yao?
Wake up! Look at Kobe and lakers, Kobe has a better coach (imo) and a player named Odom, and they have to struggle to get No.8 in the west. I don't think T-mac is much better than kobe even I am not a kobe fan at all. And where does this 2-2 come from? In my count, it is 1-3. Don't tell me you count the score in the first half, that doesn't make any sense.

I dont know if I like "you dudes" part ...
But I agree Tmac creates better than Yao. However, these two cannot win without each so far proven. It's moot to argue who leads us to lose less.

Last night, wanting to do something to relieve the gloom, I watched our win against Golden State again (thanks, R2K, for the video). Did we really look that good only 2 weeks ago? It feels like it's been forever.

Anyway, I just wanted to say that Yao's 30 and 16 in that game looks even more impressive now that I know how much pain he must have been enduring. And that was in addition to the physical battering he takes every game in the low post.

I refer to YOF as 'you dudes' so don't make more out that than it is. I don't like to use that word but when you say the Rockets were lucky to win and stuff like that...wanna am i gonna do... say 'high five bud, go rockets?' can't do it, cause it's a yao thing with you when you think the rockets were lucky to win without yao so i know whats going on with that.

Dont follow your logic. So if I say I am lucky to win the lottery, I am not rooting for myself? Just called what I saw, that's all.

Well, most of the stuff you use and wear are made in China. So, you are a commie sympasizer and should be killed. Hell, the server of this forum is probably made in China. You are using CF.net, and you are making the commies rich! You b*stard!

That is a sick racist joke. no need for those racial belittling comments whatsoever.

BTW, big men like yao dont fall off tree's. his absence has proved a real eye opener for the fans who under appreciated his output for the team. i was one of those idiots. :D .. big fella get well soon. we need you ASAP....

Yao has still been exposed. Not a max player but maybe 1 day. Anyways it's not Yao being out, thats not why we are losing, its not t-macs injury to why we ar elosing, go read my thread about rps, you will see why we arer losing.
Common sense, and how many times does Davis AND Q-Rich need to burn Wesley for JVG to atleast try to use a new formula. Try Davis on Richardson, try Lil John on Davis, TRY SOMTHING NEW DAMMMNNN

Yo're definition of a max player is obviously about five years out of date. All the disappointment or vitriol in the world can't back up your statement. The numbers alone are one thing, but for those who can't see how much Yao affects the game (especially now in his absence) is utterly mind-boggling to me.
