to maximize yao's effectiveness, we should use him as decoy....make him kick out more...or dribble drive attract defense and kick out if his initial touch was no doubled. he should shoot only on quicker moves and ABSOLUTELY no power moves anymore. and obviously also when he has deep post position. he can block shots and rebound on the def. end and look for switches more consistently
Yao did not get the job done tonight but they still won. That's all good. Yao is missing way to many close shots? Something is either wrong with him or he is getting hit and there WILL NOT be any calls in this playoff series. He either powers thru it or he looks stupid. That's it. No way he can be shooting that many shots close in and missing. He couldn't even hold on to the ball and let his own teammate take it from him and cause a turnover. Deke would never let anyone steal a rebound like that.
Only thing I saw different from his game's in Utah was his instinct to pass out to the 3pt shooter, which eventually helped us win the game. Yao should not force the some stupid shots if he can find a open man. Yao needs to lay off World of Warcraft and learn some more moves, passing, dribbling etc.
No moron, I'm a Yao fan, but I cheer for the Rockets. Because I like Yao, I have higher expectations for him. But if I don't think he had a good game, I will also call him out. I hope that TMac plays like tonight for the remainder of the playoffs and if TMac has a poor night, I will call him out also. And if the Rockets have a poor night, I will call them out also. But overall, the Rockets were playing great tonight. I hope the Rockets can play like this in game 6 so we can finish the series ... ... we'll see. Rocket Zoom
