True, but he's not as tough as Hakeem either.

Lives with his mom. Plays video games. Shoots fadeaways. 7'6". Butterfingers. Falls down, a lot.

    Pathetic.

    6 rebounds, 8 turnovers, 0 blocks, 4 fouls

no team built around a dominant center can win with that stat line.

when yao gets the ball in the semicircle, he HAS to use his weight, turn into the basket, knock down whoever is in his way, and dunk that... i don't care if he has knee the other guys in the groin, elbow them in the face, tackle them into the photographers, just DON'T FRICKIN' SETTLE FOR A FADEAWAY!!!!!

i dont really see why this game is yao's fault. It does aggravate me when i see all these spin into the lane fade away jumpers but he shot better than 50% from the field. his turnovers are killing us but a good majority of those are also the fault of the entry passers. Yao is pissing me off because i know he can play at another level yet he will not "impose his will" on the game.

tmac has to lead this team which he did not do tonight. our offense is dependent on him facilitating it. not only did he not set up others for shots (only 3 assists) he was 8-23 (1-6 from downtown). if you wanna place blame then you should direct a good bit of it at tmac too.

Video games are good. At least he's aggressive in one realm.

Yao lost his steps after the injury. Before he was dominating the lane. He could fade away, hook shot at the top of the key, spinning at the base line, he could turn around and shoot over the opponnet. I think the foot work affect his shot a lot. He needs to shoot over the guy when he can. If double team comes then pass it outside before they get close down on him. The foot work is so important to the shooter. Dream owned the best footwork in NBA.

One reason Yao getting blocked so many times in the last a few games is because Yao's move is too much predictable.

If Yao shoots close to the rim, the ball ain't gonna be much higher than the rim, hence it's easier to block if you can predict the shooting timing.

It's better for Yao use some of his fake moves.

Also Yao has no lift with his shot.

He barely gets off the ground.

Not sure if it's his injuries, laziness, fatigue or just bad technique. It makes him an easy block if you time it right

Because Don Neilson can see what JVG can't see and utilize Yao more efficiently.

    Yao can't handle physical defense

Yao's biggest problem is that he is not used to physical defense.

During the playoffs, referees allow physical contact. Yao is not used to it.

He only has had 2 playoffs experience before.

The one against the Lakers, Shaq was pretty proud of himself, he never went to the illegal defense like Okur did. The Lakers were never in danger of losing, so Shaq relaxed on Yao.

The one against the Mavs, Mavs was not famous for its defense at the time.

The Jazz is completely a different team, they play defense, the dirty kind. Yao apparently is bothered with it. I believe it is going to take him a couple of times to get used to it. Even Dirk still is not used to physical defense.

I think he would probably be fine with it, if they let him be physical back, but the refs aren't allowing it to go both ways, so he's becoming even more timid, scared he's going to draw an offensive foul if he is too aggressive.
