Yao ming's hugely popular now so he's likely to draw votes from fans of the other NBA teams than steve can.
I think they are. Do you seriously think that Steve Francis would have about the same votes as Shaq without some help?
Some of those are Yao-ONLY fan Seriously, no one will think Cat can bypass Stockton without Yao on Rockets!
Wow, look at the East's frontline compared to the West's. Right now, both of the East's "starters" at forward are injured (Hill and Carter). This should be a fun game. Backcourt of Francis/Kobe vs. Iverson/TMac. Does it get any better? The frontcourt battle might be a massacre. Yao, TD, and Garnett starting?!?! Shaq, Brand, Nowitzki, Webber off the bench? Too much size.
Just keep voting for Yao Ming and Steve Francis....this is the final stretch, only a few days left.... BTW, we now have several threads about the same topic
There are now 1.26 BILLION people in China (as of Dec. 31 2002), so with online all-star voting that might have something to do with why Yao's vote total is so high.
From what I read on some popular Chinese websites, fans are urged to vote for Yao-Stevie; right now, Houston Rockets enjoy a much higher visibility than Lakers. And why I am not surprised...
well, I don't think those online votes from China were 100% counted. How come only 800K votes for YAO?! that's a joke if NBA truly counted all the votes from China. There are now 1.3BILLION ppl in China, over 250MILLION ppl having access to Internet, and 100MILLION basketball fans. Ppl in China never talk votes in Ks but Ms (by "M", I mean MILLIONs). about SF, IMHO, even w/o the votes from China, he still will be No. 2.
Yes. Steve was voted in without Yao. I'm sure that there are some votes with Steve/Shaq instead of Yao.
i'm looking forward to whatever minutes yao and shaq get to play together on the court.....that should be fun to see.
With all the popularity in China, it makes you wonder what the Rockets franchise would sell for right now.
...lots of money. I think this is great because it is a fans game and has always been. In addition, Yao really does belong!
