canoner, even a blind squirrel finds a nut every once in a while my friend, so congratulations on your 15 minutes.
Oh, I forgot to add that during the game with Kings, my ip was banned from the game chat room because I was explaining to someone how to say a swear word in chinese, even though I immediately said they were bad words.
that's sad. the good new is this won't hinder his play next year or at all during his career. count our blessings that we don't have amare (the next antonio mcdyess). we are already in for the 10th pick since we slid under seattle tonight. orlando is only a half game ahead of us for number 9 and with the way thier playing they will pass us too. mini, gsw, and boston seem to be in major tank mode and i don't think we will catch any of them considering thier remaining schedules. lucky #9 here we come!
He was the one bright spot this season. I left these boards just to go watch the big guy work, but myself was wondering why he's still been out there. This really sucks, this whole organization is honestly a mess for the most part. TMac and Yao are this whole franchise. We'd better net a good pick or this idiot coach can rot in hell for this.
I agree. Yes, this totally sucks that Yao got hurt, but you can't bench him out of the fear of injury whenever you think the games don't count. Realistically, we all knew the season was over when T-Mac went out for the season, but Yao has really benefitted from playing since then, despite our losing. He's learned how to assert himself, handle the double-teams better, stay on the court longer, and altogether has shown that he's ready to be the best center in the league. I want a high pick and healthy Yao just as much as the rest of you, but it's ridiculous to suggest that JVG should have benched Yao for the rest of the season. Now let's just calm down on speculation on how long he could be out until we actually hear from some medical personnel on exactly what the injury is and how severe. P.S. - Good luck getting better, big fella!
I can't imagine it's that bad. I'm no trainer, but I'd think there would be lots of things he could still do with this injury. I'd think he could still work with weights some and could do things like swimming after it's partially healed. Am I wrong? I have no experience with such things. Anyway, I'll look at the silver lining - one more off-season Yao can rest.
yao breaking his foot now would be similiar to him breaking it in the pre-season. it's nobody's fault, it's just very bad luck. the worst thing that could happen to the rockets now would be drawing the 14th pick regardless of how many lottery balls they have.
Nice post. Agree 100%. (as far as my "worst that could happen" comment, well, yeah, I suppose that it could have been like Stoudamaire, or maybe the backboard could have fell on Yao's head and killed him. i just meant that a long-term injury, of some sort, was about the worst-case scenario...)
I'd like to apologize right now... Jesus, Muhammad, Krishna, Buddha, Joseph Smith, Lao Tzu, Moses and Seaman: I don't know what I did to piss you off so much, but I'm sorry. I really truly am sorry. Please, don't take it out on the innocent. Spare my Houston Rockets from your holy wrath, and let them play injury free. I know that the Detroit Pistons made a deal with the devil to have their team healthy, but I have placed my faith in a higher power, and believe that the ultimate victory will come of following the path of light and truth. I will assume that you sucked out the mojo from the Rockets and Texans this year in order to aid the efforts of the Astros in making the World Series, but I'm asking you to please return them to their rightful owners. Please, Super Best Friends, don't forsake me on the darkest of days.
