this isn't soo bad, the injury doesn't seem horrific or anything, and it will give Yao time to relax over the summer and we all see what rest did for him earlier this season

plus here we come top 10 pick

A broken foot now shouldn't have any effect on Yao's play next season. I do hope he conveniently uses it as an excuse to limit his summer commitments.

Yao could walk off the court. It Shouldn't affect next season, I think.

You can fake something like broken toe/foot, can you?

Plus I saw Yao was grimacing.

It didn't look that bad. Probably hairline fracture of the foot, I would think it heals in a couple of months.

Let's hope it's a blessing in disguise -- while the bone heals the knees will rest.

A fractured foot, no matter how minor, is not good news for a guy that big. Even if he comes back fully recovered, his conditioning will be gone.
