Sun12, you need to switch to decaf and stop jumping on fellow posters just because of a difference of opinion. Your hostile attitude is totaly uncalled for especially given how the originator of the thread conceded that his viewpoint could be wrong. As for your quote about Yao not eevn as good as Ewing. Ewing is a top 50 player of all time and could be argued by some to be the equal of the other names you put up there. That's like saying that Mobley isn't even as good as Jordan. How about before you go and flame others for what you perceive as outrageous or moronic statements, take a look at yourself, hopefully that will spare us the headache of having to listen to your tough guy attitude.

Forgot about my original reason for posting in this thread lol. I dont agree with the sugestion of Yao at PF. True he has quickness, but quickness at Center isn't the same as quickness at PF. Also, Yao at Center makes him top5 in his position, Yao at PF moves him much much further down the list.

    Sun12,

I didn't interpret the suggestion the way you did. He doesn't talk about Yao guarding the opposing teams' PF. That would be as you suggested disasterous. I think the poster was stating that Yao would play a PF/Garnett like role on Offense and on D, play in a zone.

    Powerforward!!!

    ARE YOU CRAZY!!!!

I was thinking more along the lines of shooting guard.

    Yao vs. Kobe
    Yao vs Tmac
    Yao vs. Vince
    Yao vs Lebron

thats what I am talking about!!!!!!!

I want to see Yao throw a ball off a person's head and do a 360 windmill jam.

    KAZZAAAAM

    GOOOOOOOOOOOOOO YAO!

If I had some I would share but I'm just paraphrasing what I've heard others say about Yao.

After watching Yao a few times I agree that he is quick.
( that is quick not fast. ) He has fast reaction time and quick hands. He's not going to be a Clyde floating down the open court but he does have the ability to put a move on and drive the few steps (for him) from the top of the key to the hoop.

Thank you for posting anyway. I expected this suggestion to be criticized and disected.

While its nice to have a top 5 center I don't think its meaningful if we aren't winning. We have a top 5 center and point guard right now and are slumping. If somehow what it takes for us to win is having Francis playing Center and Yao playing point guard I would be all for it. ;)

Just throwing out a suggestion to get discussion going and shake up our stagnant offense.

This has got to be the most ridiculous thread I've ever seen here. I can't believe it has lasted this long.

Did someone say that Yao was quick up and down? Good lord, have you watched ANY games?

Yao is a center. He's tall, he's slow, he shoots a high percentage. If anyone expected to 'inspire' anything do you think posting it on a BBS would do the trick? Come on people.

Yao is a better passer than Steve. Play him at PG. ;)

Steve is a decent rebounder anyway, he can play at C. :D

Yao's too slow to play PF. Yao has no lateral quickness or explosiveness at all to play the 4. He's a top 3 center, but would just be an average pf (maybe even bad if you think defense). Why would want to make him a five?

Crikey there are a lot of cranks here!

Unless you're secretly JVG or on the Rox payroll neither what you or I think will have any influence on the Rox. This is a BBS board so why not debate out of the ordinary ideas.
