YAO answered questions on net today----- but who can translate?

Anyone else wondering what that part about "special treatment" means? He said that he gets special treatment so he doesn't have to go everyday. Go where? Practice? I hope he isn't allowed to skip practice when others must be there. Of course, it was in the driver's license section, so maybe he was talking about his driver's ed. classes.

Well, I think he means that a lot of defenders are much shorter than he
thus he can get the ball in the post easier.

But, what I was meaning is that the game will be very easy for him
in the next 3 years (Asian games and CBA). Too easy.

Why does he have to go to Driver License ED everyday. Cant he just practice by himself? Is this the Teaxs thing? I thought it's pretty easy to get a driver's license, plus he should be quick in reaction since he is a pro basketball player. I

no, CBA centers are not short at tall. last time i checked, every team has 6'10 or taller centers. I think what Yao meant is CBA centers are not as athletic as NBA players. they can't jump as high and don't go after the ball aggressively. that's why Yao could get those rebounds much easier than in NBA.

 

Yao needs to B..E... aggressive !!!...i see him fall down a lot..i mean..come on now...he's 7'5'' ..and he needs to dunk the ball everytime he's like 4 foot away from the basket..instead..he always do a lay up or a hook shot..but i'm not hating on him..after all..he's still just a young rookie...ahh...and he can't handle road games ..he looks tire in that last road trip...

Currently he is not taking drivers ed, I beleive what he meant to say was that when he goes and take his tests he will recieve special treatment as in the form of not waiting in line with the rest of the public and taking his written orally in a private room.

 

What moved me most was actually something not in this interview but in a recent Yao Pa interview. When a reporter asked him whether his most happy moment in the States is watching Yao MIng tearing up 30/15 on Mavs. Yao-Pa said no, the happiest momemt was that three of them in the family could eat together, take a walk and chat, enjoying the rare family moments. They haven't been together for so long since Yao Ming was playing BBall non-stop for a long time now.

You can notice Yao Ming was really tired on occasions. We got to find a way to preserve him for the playoffs, Utilize him efficiently in limited minutes.

I didn't bother to read through the 3 english translations but on the chinese one, he was asked what he plan to do against shaq and he answered along the lines of "I was online and a interent fan mentioned to step on his toe but i don't think it's moral". I was sure this was mentioned on this board, maybe Yao actually reads this board for real, if you do Yao i would love for you to have chat session or something.
