durvasa, Tango et al, I don't think season stats can accurately gauge the performance of the Rockets, unless you eliminate the first two months of the season or so and basically calculate from around mid-December (the Nuggets game to be specific).
Isn't pace just possessions per 48 minutes? I'm not sure what you are calculating ... "possessions per mpg" isn't the same thing as pace. pace = 48 * poss / min = 48 * 5181 / 2746 = 90.6 The discrepancy in On minutes is perhaps rounding error, but its insignificant. The discrepancy in Off minutes is because 82games.com hasn't yet updated through the Wizards game.
The thread topic isn't about how many turnovers Yao commits, but rather how many turnovers the team commits with him on and off the floor. So you want to eliminate the most difficult portion of our schedule to date from the sample? I don't know ... I'm not saying that Yao definitely causes us to commit more turnovers. All I wanted to point out is that the "13" and "14" figures are rounded, and so there may or may not be a significant difference in team turnovers with/without Yao thus far. I have my opinion on this, just from watching the games, but I don't know how I'd go about checking it with the available stats.

How can you judge a player by these unquestionable precious creative meaningful colorful beautiful stats? Is it a magic? I know I'm not good in math, and I failed to pass the fifth grade math test. But at least I know 5 > -2, right? No? Please help!
I stand corrected durvasa . You are absolutely right. I just proved I can't even calculate simple rates correctly. Must be all those lost braincells!
