The problem is, when Yao gets old and on the down side of his career. Many rocket fans are gonna talking about sell Yao for profit, cut the lose. Pretty much like the way they talked about T-mac not so long time ago. Whose fault is this, or it is just the reality of the game.
Fans will talk about it, but will the management respond? It depends on where the rockets are and what we have done with Yao here. If we have won some titles with him or gotten far into the playoffs a couple of times, we would probably keep him. If we maybe make 1 decent playoff run and never make it past the first round again like Kevin Garnett, well thats a different story. I would personally rather see Yao retire in Houston unless we are just that bad and other teams see value in him and it gives us the chance to rebuild. But that doesn't seem to be where we are going.
