Man Matt Jackson is really laying it on thick in the Wade bashing...

@Zepp1978 I'm gun shy after the crappy return for Roy O.I'm dissappointed in how the franchise has been tossed in toilet.Should never happen

Crane likes to be mocked? RT @richardjustice: "The plan we have right now dovetails with what (Crane's) expectations are."--Astros GM Ed Wade

There is no doubt in my mind that Ed Wade's ancestors were involved with the sale of the Louisiana Purchase to America. #EverythingMustGo

The Astros have traded Wandy Rodriguez to the Detroit Tigers for a 1956 Tucker. #SoundsGoodToEd

Make mine wit wiz! RT @art_jimenez: @MJ4Sports I'm hearing Wandy + $40 mil cash to Phils for a sandwich to be named later.

Kick them when theyre down? RT @Buster_ESPN: Realignment has been approved; Astros moving to the Pacific Coast League. (just kidding...)

Richard Justice says Wandy is close to being moved to Cleveland for two minor leaguers.

Gammons also reporting that Wandy interest has picked up. (Meanwhile, Justice has already backed off the Cleveland report.)

I figured this would happen, assuming Wade held to his guns. Wandy's contract is perfectly reasonable, given his age and production. If he were a FA after the season, I'd say 3/36 is on the low end of what he might get on the market. He's a damn good starter with a lot of years left and should fetch you legitimate talent in return.

All the talk from "rival executives" about his cumbersome contract negating value was just an attempt to bluff Wade, imo. Hopefully he saw through it.

No, the Justice reports about Cleveland are serious. Not a joke.

It's Matt Jackson that's playing around with the Major League references.

Oh hmm. Matt Jackson didn't seem to think Buster or whoever reporting a Cleveland possible was real. Matt Jackson could just be exceptionally bitter atm.

45 minutes to the deadline. I have WTA and NASCAR on. It's some decent looking French girl, and Serena Williams. Any good channels to watch not named MLB network

What would the Astros have got for Wandy if Wade didn't give him the extension? Probably 3 very good prospects.

Espn shows deadline is over. What do they have an hour after it or something to consummate a deal?

Wish I had MLB Network. Looks like entertaining game with Verlander dealing and Weaver throwing at people.

2:37pm: Rodriguez is likely to stay with the Astros, tweets Morosi. Jon Heyman points out that he's a candidate for an August deal.

If by 'regular basis' you mean two, then you are correct. Ryan had 4 no-hitters at the same age that Verlander has 2. Ryan also threw 12 one hitters.
