Now i understand why YM scored 41 points at that night --- try to show something in front of Mr. Mean
There is a translation up to 6 chapters at a yaoming fan site. Some of you may be interested to read. It is a quite good translation from a Yao's fan. (not by the site). PS: If this is against the policy please delete my post. I do not mean to advertise or anything. Just thought to share what I found. I do not want to just copy and paste here either because I do not have the permission.
Men, I wish Mr. Mean were in the Minisoda's coach's bench. Rocktet will win the frist round for sure. On other side, Mr.s mean may did something good for Yao long term development. So thank Mr. Mean, Even you was not intended to do it.
There is a perfect translation of the whole book on www.yaoming**********, I especially like the part that he usd to eye Wang Zhizhi as his idol, and tried to catch up and battle with him. That reveals how he grew step by step, and very possibly will continue. Just check the link- http://www.yaoming**********/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2835&start=0
thanks alot for taking the time to translate heech very interesting to see everyones various frustrations last year but... hopefully all is better this year 12-15 athletes can never get along in perfect harmony, but winning cures most ailes
Heech Good job, a very interesting read. I imagine that its probably embellished a little for dramatic effect but there is probably a decent amount of truth in there. BTW, about this part: Which general/hero was he referring to? I used to play "Dynasty Warriors" on PS2 a lot.....who did he compare Rudy too?
While I have no doubt the gist of all this is true (Yang Yi wouldn't dare to lie as someone pointed out), we have to remember this is English translated to Chinese (by Yao and Yang) and then back to English. A lot of meanings can get altered in the process. But I have no doubt that Larry Smith's relationships with his players were very tense at that time. I remember seeing Francis yelling at Smith on the court during that San Antonio game, when he and Yao were benched.
All I can say is that SF is a very good teammate. God, I wish they can work it out on the court, I am willing to change my mind and hope they can stick to each other for the rest of their careers.
this is like a reality show. reading that gives me alot of perspective about the grinding nba season. thanks for the translations yall!
OMG, what is this a tell-all book. I've only read up to the part about Cato confronting Yao after the Portland loss but I just had to post this. I think Yao is really lucky that China is so much more foreign to Americans than European countries and Spanish speaking countries, and there aren't as many cutural ties. Because if the US media got ahold of this stuff, you can bet there would be some controversy over Yao airing some of the team's dirty laundry. Just look at the fuss over Peitrus and the comments he made to a French newspaper. Lucky for Yao, it doesn't look like the US media has ever been alerted by Yang Yi's stories in sohu. But I don't know. Maybe with this book will make some waves. I hope not, because I think it would be a distraction and because I kind of like getting this inside information. It's pretty cool.
only after read his book i knew this yang yi guy plays basketball himself(at a much lower level of course).
