Oh, stop it. I never asked people to stop quoting. Quote away. Just don't quote entire articles. Still trying to figure out why I'm such a dick for asking that.
Yo Kelly, I'm really happy for ya, and Imma let you finish, but Jason Friedman asked for his articles not to be quoted in entirety first...
The victim's not an attractive 18 year old WHITE girl, so it's not national news worthy. News stations are cut from the same cloth as Hollywood, believing that minorities don't generate ratings, so they're not newsworthy. This is tremendously sad; I hope more details are revealed soon.
I must not be reading the same articles y'all are. It seems to me like this story is getting a lot of play and that they're playing up the heart-strings -- with the imminent wedding to such a sweet guy and all that. Perhaps because the fiance is not talking to the media, we're missing some of that personal-loss-angle you usually get with these. As for the wall, it's a chase, which is like a vertical shaft with plumbing, electrical, and so on in it. It's like a closet, without much space. I have a chase in my house that runs the electrical and plumbing to the second floor and stores the furnace and water heater. I have a door to it on each floor, but you can't really step into it.
Doubt it... the guy they arrested was a lab technician. I am guessing PETA folks don't work in animal labs often.
I don't think so. I saw an article say that some outlets had reported a lab tech was arrested by quoting the police denying it. Which is another weird thing about this case: there seems to be a lot of uncertainty in the reporting. Some places are reporting the bloody clothing was not Le's, others aren't sure, some were backing off the bloody clothes altogether for a little while. Then there was this student who was a suspect, and then that was retracted, then a lab tech and that was denied. A lot of papers are jumping the gun trying to be the first to report. What I do find interesting (in a macabre sort of way) is that it is structured like an Agatha Christie murder. It's a closed set of suspects (the people who swiped into that building); a victim of high standing; a murder right before an auspicious day (her wedding); supposedly motivated by something other than random violence/rape; the lead investigator is named Inspector Japp; etc.
The same exact thing happened with the NFL players and the capsized boat. All the dumbass media were tripping over themselves to get stories out there and made up a bunch of stuff. That is why the sole survivor went onto Bryant Gumble's show...because none of that stuff was cleared up until he spoke what he knew. I was shocked by all the garbage that turned out to be untrue. They blatantly made up stuff. The one thing they said that stands out is Nick Schuyler's best friend thought he saw a light and decided to swim toward it to go for help never to be seen again...when that was totally false. The parents didn't deserve to read made up crap like that. They were misrepresenting the circumstances of how the players died...trying to fill in the gaps of what they knew they were missing. Just completely making up stuff to get stories out. That really pissed me off when I learned what actually happened. The media were no better than tabloids in that one.
I had never heard the follow-up so I just googled it. I suppose we also saw that with Katrina, but I tend to give the media a pass on that one because it really was a chaotic situation and I assumed normal methods of verification weren't available to them. But, I'm sure the pressure to break a story first is very high, and I don't think the market punishes inaccuracy very much, as long as the stuff you got wrong was salacious.
Sucks to be a women sometimes... She was like 90 lbs light as a feather and no way in heck she can defend herself in that situation... Her parents moved all the way from a war torn country to have a better life in America to only get murdered inside a wall at a tech lab... I figured out how to not be put in a situation like that.. Don't go to school, stay at home, become a hermit..
the guy who killed her is a major dumbass. so, you are going to kill someone in a facility where you have to badge in/badge out and they can pinpoint where everyone was at certain datetimes. i would be shocked if the guy they arrested is not the killer...given they wouldn't have arrested him without some kind of damning evidence. the guy is an idiot and i hope he is eligible for the death penalty. probably one of those idiots who decided to kill someone to see what it felt like. more likely is he wanted something from her...like sex. else, why else would he be such an idiot and do that in those circumstances? i guess he could have snapped from some run-in he had with her. what a moron.
Looks like they arrested that lab technician this morning... How sad. I can't believe that they found her body on her wedding day...that's just one of the saddest things I've heard. I wonder why he killed her...an unrequited love gone wrong? RIP.
i thought i read somewhere he lived with his girlfriend. it does seem highly fishy, though, that this guy kills her days before her wedding. it does seem like something was going on where he was maybe spurned by her...and i guess if he couldn't have her...noone would. i hate people who think like that. it is the basis for every damn divorce or break-up murder out there. oh...i can't live without you or with the thought of you seeing someone else. men tend to turn into real p*****s when relationships don't work out...and feel like they have to do something about it to make themselves feel better.
