Our backup catcher is better than any starting catcher we've had in a long time too

Was hitting .284 before the All-Star game, should of been in All-Star 2024 over that Rangers catcher who is hitting like Baked Meyers.

When do you do a welfare check? The season started out so amazing for rvo and has turned into his worst nightmare.

Im liking the thought of easing him off full time catching and being mostly a 1st baseman in 2 years. Think the bat is special enough to be a great middle of the order guy for many years and it’s not worthy of the luxury of catching wear and tear.

He f*cking stinks and I don’t give a sh*t how many home runs you hit if you cannot work walks or work the count. And keep swinging at Bullsh*t out the zone and at eye level

Nook said it himself. His bat makes him a 60 million dollar first baseman and a 300 million dollar catcher.

Whats truly remarkable is that he can only get better. He’s had enough AB’s for the league to sink their teeth into his swing tendencies…. Whether its his elite contact skill (unfettered with balls out of the zone), his bat speed, and his ability to drive the ball to all fields with power (because he’s just a strong/gifted dude)…. He’s only going to get even more discerning as it’s now proven that pitchers can’t nibble with him.

The downside to that elite contact/hitting bad balls ability…. Is more double plays. I’ll take that plus a trend of his walk numbers to rise as the season goes on…. Pitchers don’t really know how to get him out with much regularity. Yes, he does sometimes get himself out (as all hitters can do), but he’s going to be extremely dangerous once he learns how to not expand the zone to egregious levels.

    OK

    LMAO

Dude has helped save the season. He leads the team in RBI's and is the best hitting catcher in MLB.

Now I know who you remind me of. Question: Do you think the earth is flat? There are flat earth dumbasses on the internet that ignore every fact and spew a bunch of nonsense, like you. Sadly there's more than one person on the planet that thinks the earth is flat but you're likely the only human on planet earth familiar with the Astros that thinks Diaz f*cking stinks. Which of these two options better describes your true opinions?

    1. The earth is flat and Diaz f*cking stinks.
    2. The earth is round, and Diaz is having a fantastic first year as the primary starting catcher but like any young major leaguer has some things he can improve on.

Garcia had only been caught stealing once the entire season
