"Shohei Ohtani is a chump because he couldn't get the Angels to the playoffs and the Dodgers record isn't any better this year versus last year." -Rvo387
rvo is a turd. only acknowledge yainer's short comings and failures meanwhile, yainer is pretty much top of the charts for almost every categories as a catcher.
Diaz is such delight to have this season. We would have no chance of winning division otherwise with injuries and slumps with impact players. Also he looks like he has that lighthearted/spirited aura what you need to get through 162. Game is about failing and getting up. He looks like he gets up . About this one hater who is on the board only to spew his hate on Diaz and climax reading our misery when losing. Is't he the guy who screamed about racism against Dusty & Maldonado when all he does is thrashes Spanish speaking young latino player who tries to make it in show....in city where fans are not only use to winning, they expect it every year especially now when it can be somewhat end of window 24/25. About Dusty. Everybody in the game loves and respects him and thinks he's the only real cool old cat. He did play and party with absolute legends back in the day. But with managing he is stubborn and stuck to his ways. Lot of fans just disagreed with last season decisions. Even more in hindsight because consensus is the 2023 ALCS was the real WS. Arizona was out of juice and miracles after punching out NL monsters. Actually I think this years Arizona is more dangerous crop if they make it to post season and healthy. I might pick Dusty to manage my team if the gig is 5-10 years 162 games and no post season. Like European soccer leagues, every game matters and best wins. He would keep it stable, fun and calm. But with playing post season and the pressures of one game one moment....got to take Bochy. Feels like he is more aware of the moment and getting players to perform then. It might take something out of them because after every WS win his team sucks a**. Sorry for the long rant. Rvo, stop hating Diaz and try to move on. Root for him and Astros or just p*ss off. You feel better too with that poison out your heart and mouth.
Can't wait to see his power come through in the next few years as he develops even more. Guy is a big reason the Astros are where they are.
Despite the wave injuries and the loss of Maldonado's game calling "brilliance" our pitchers have basically the exact same ERA and WHIP as last season. Would likely be better if we weren't forced into giving so many innings to random non MLB level players due to all the injuries. We're actually giving up less runs overall. This team would be on life support if we still had Maldonado.
Holy crap that was a bomb last night. My boy texted me that Yainer homered. I didn't get to watch the game was at the movies. I didn't know he knocked ot out of the Damm stadium.
OPS+ (active catchers) 126 Rutschman 124 Diaz 117 Contreras 116 Murphy 112 Smith 111 Realmuto 111 Raleigh 105 Perez 105 Moreno 101 Alvarez I'm still pinching myself. This is the organization that gave you Luis Pujols, Tony Eusebio, Brad Ausmus and Martin Maldinado.
