Rubio is way too overrated on this board. Screw Rubio. Flynn and Love for Brooks and Hill. Git 'er done, Moreyson.

Rubio has the word 'Potential' not just. "Oh he's going to be a good player..." potential but "He might be a GREAT player" potential.

That's why you take the chance on him.

last year AB averaged 16 shot attempts... When you only have 3 more points than your FGA that's a bad sign.

Then again AB was the best player on the team last year.

He sure was, he was playing his role, and this year, he had more around him and has been making good passes and setting people up, he has very good court vision.

His D is bad, real bad, but with the new rules allowing no touching the perimeter all of our guards D has been bad...

Getting Flynn for AB would be at BEST...AT BEST...a lateral move, if Minny tossed in a 1st round pick, then it would be interesting, but doing it for Flynn would be stupid.

I'm assuming the people calling for AB for Love are kidding. Prying Love from Minny (even though it is David Kahn) is going to take a lot more than a 6-foot, score-first point guard.

When's the last time that a soft Euro-trash player becomes a superstar? He looks soft and weak, DO NOT WANT.

AB does pass better. He doesn't take long 2's with 18 seconds left on the shot clock. So uh, no, Brooks is better. A lot better.

I'll freely admit that I'm not sure who Minnesota would give up. Love we won't get, I'm not a fan of Beasley, and Kahn's gambled too much on Rubio. I'd honestly like Darko on this team, but I don't know who Minnesota would want.

I love how everyone in this thread is calling Flynn garbage when Brooks has been nothing but trash. Houston is no position to be demanding either Rubio or Love.

Wolves/Rockets don't make very good trade partners.

    Huh?

Dirk Nowitzski? Manu? Parker? Pau Gasol? Marc Gasol? Divac? It's 2011, a lot of really good players come from around the world now you know.

You're right. I doubt the Wolves would be that excited about Brooks for Rubio.

But Brooks and another veteran player? A package for Rubio or Love would make sense imo. Wolves need to decide to sooner or later BUILD around someone instead of just stocking up on top 10 picks.

I hope yall aren't serious about acquiring Love or Rubio in a swap for brooks , both pretty much untouchable now that Rubio is coming next year if there isn't a lockout.

Flynn for Brooks is dumb for the rockets to accept that

A Flynn,Webster or Brewer and maybe Ellington( maybe too much) could be a realistic trade, and would be very good for Houston.

AB + Filler player for Jonny Flynn and Minny's First Round draft pick (top 3 protected)

    Would go for.

We don't have room for anymore wings... if anything, we need to ship one of Battier/Budinger/Williams/Lee.

    Flynn is 4 years younger.

    Had a great rookie season.

I'll take him over Brooks any day.

Depends on the package but from my understanding of the Wolves front office is that they would most likely bring Rubio in for a season before even considering a trade. Consider Kevin Love franchise tagged, doesn't matter how good of a package you think the Rockets can put together the Wolves won't let this 20/15 monster go.

Personally I like the direction the Wolves going, another top 5 pick + Rubio is definitely going to be a big plus and Rambis wants this team to grow together. Seems like they are following the Thunder model, stocking up on youth and drafting good personality guys. Anyways I'm opposed to any trade involving any core players until late next season.

A Battier & Brooks trade for Brewer, Ellington & Flynn would be a steal for the rockets IMO

If I'm Houston, I don't touch Bud or Lee, you always need shooters in this league. Brewer is a great defender. Ellington and C Bud are good shooters and will make defenses commit to the 3 pointer when there both on the floor, and would be deadly if Houston could find a deadly inside presance somehow. Flynn has alot of upside to be a 15 ppg scorer, but at the same time. Flynn is not a championship type point guard like Brooks could be.

Brooks for Flynn and an unprotected first rounder or Kevin Love.
