Hating the Cowboys just got even easier. Even the magical 900-Foot Jesus football skills of Vince Young wouldn't give the Texans a chance against the Cowgirls this season.
I hate the Cowboys and always have but I've always been a fan of T.O. regardless of his dumbass decisions at times. Weird.
well, i'm not rooting for dallas as long as that jackass on the team. the texans just got a new fan...........until T.O. leaves.
didn't the Texas Legislature pass a law stating fans from a city must root for their teams otherwise they should be erm.... "terminated"?
Honestly, if the Eagles two years ago couldn't win it with TO, is it really worth it for the Cowboys here with an older Owens? The cast is weaker than what Philly had...mostly at the QB position, arguably weaker defensively, and then you throw in the Eagles had 2 years of NFC championship experience. They'll definitely be improved, but no way a super bowl contender. I'll enjoy seeing all the fans disappointed after having high expectations.
How optimistic but he's right. The Eagles two years ago were superior in almost every aspect and their only real weakness was at WR. The Cowboys have plenty of other problems and WR was not a very big one.
well as far as the offense goes i think there set besides the O line. and defense there secondary is pretty good. so pick up a free agent or two and draft for the O line, D line, and LBs. so maybe not so much next year but the year after that they might just get to the superbowl. i think jerry jones is ready to throw some money around and start winning again with the young core they have in place now.
It's not like Owens is that much older so I don't see that being any type of a problem at all. As much as I despise the guy, TO is easily the best receiver in the game when he plays. I'm not a big fan of the Cowboys but they were 1-2 plays away from making the playoffs last season and TO is a pretty big upgrade over K. Johnson IMO.
Having the best WR in the NFL makes a HUGE difference on what a team can do on offense ~ Cowboys will be very good next season.
SEEYA! The Cowboys dont really need fans that jump ship when they sign a free agent with potential off the field problems. Its almost like you and others that share your sentiment aren't true cowboys fans! My reaction to the signing: I am still pissed about the star thing. Thats really the only thing I dont like about this signing. If TO shows he truly respects the team and he doesnt pull too much stupid crap while he is here, I see this a really great pickup.
As a life long Cowboys fan I'll hold off judgement until the end of the journey hell I put up with Deion after hating him and TO is going to want to burn the eagles with all of his soul twice a year Anyone who knows me know's i'm a fan of both the Cowboys and the Texans and all Texas teams for that matter and now that it's looking like the Texans are going for Bush with the first pick, I'm hoping (even though I know it's not going to happen) that the cowboys move up in the draft and take vince young so he doesn't go to Tennesse and bud.
What's funny about this, specifically about a part mention above, is Owens will want to burn the Eagles but many of the Eagles players were on his side or in his favor through his ordeal in Philly so it's not like they are going to be out to get him. Oh but you better belive the fans will mark the date Owens returns to Philly and not only as an opponent but as a Cowboy. I have even toyed with the idea of flying up to Philadelphia that weekend to watch the game at the Linc but I am willing to bet that it will be one hot and hard to get ticket in town.
I predict close to, if not a full, season of stellar play and good behaviour from TO. Then, just like in Philly, it all falls apart. Dallas better hope they will be good enough to win it all this season, because if not this experiment will hurt them more than it helps, I think.
