wanting to, and doing, are 2 different things. morey has been wanting to move up in the draft for years. just because the spurs are "listening to offers" for parker is light years away from pulling the trigger on a trade.

I doubt Parker gets traded, I would love Hill to be traded for a late lottery pick(Jazz), and get Chris Singleton. Hill is so overrated by Spurs fans, and Singleton would be more of an need and help, a Chris Singleton, and James Anderson future would be bright at the 2 and 3 for the Spurs, and possibly send Manu back to the bench to give that spark they had back then. San Antonio would still have Mcdyess partial guarnteed contract, and Blair nice contract to work with, plus the 29th pick if they don't decide to get Bertans or Mirotic with that pick to get a big man, and/or back up point guard.

I would like the Spurs to trade Parker, and Blair for Garcia,Thompson,Cassapi and the 7th pick, I would also like Parker, and Blair for Ed Davis,Bargaini,Bayless, and Kleiza. If Jefferson was involved in one of these trades if it meant losing a talent from of these trades I'll take it, but doubt it. :(

If Spurs deal Tony Parker to Kings for 7th pick, expect Omri Caspi to be part of package, sources say. RC Buford has been long fond of him.

That 7th pick doesn't make me happy, the only player worth taking after Williams, and Irving is Kanter. If we could use it to get the 9th and 19th pick from Charlotte, so they know they can for sure get Leonard, and Spurs use the 9th pick to get a big man(Bisymbo or one of the Morris twins), I don't want the Spurs getting Jonas I think he won't come over until another 2 years but shows the most promise outside out of Kanter, but just something about him I don't like, and 19th on a Small Forward(Tobias Harris or Chris Singleton) Dontas Motiejunas intrigues me, and will improve as a rebounder, and defender under pop .Maybe throw in George Hill or Blair to move up if we would acquire the 19th pick, or acquire another 1st rounder by trading Hill, and getting Biyombo?

I would prefer the Spurs get Thompson also and use the trade exception from Parker on Devin Harris, and use the Summer to decide what to do with RJ, or make him back up Omri, and still have Mcdyess's partial guarnteed contract before he retires on July 1st and Blair great contract.

Spurs getting Casspi,Thompson,Singleton,Motiejunas,Biyombo,Harris. Not even including Rj's, and Dice;s replacement maybe a big man.

Spurs just giving away Parker,Hill,Dice,Blair,Jefferson. Damn can be nice this summer.(sounding kinda delusional about the Spurs getting rid of Jefferson though :()

I don't think Kanter last past 4 with Jonas V. not coming over until next season but if he falls to them and that's their guy...I might just take a bat to the junk. Moray with all his wonderful assets and lotto pick can't grab him but a 60 win Spurs team can?

Spurs reportedly want to attach Jefferson on with Parker. Unlikely appealing for Raptors/Kings.(Per Stein) If Spurs were to move up to 7(highly doubtful per Givony), look for them to take Valanciunas

According to Ric Bucher, one thing being discussed with Portland is Batum, Miller, swap of picks - only in discussions stage at this point.

The San Antonio Spurs and Portland Trail Blazers nearly completed a blockbuster trade on Wednesday afternoon, but the deal fell apart in the late stages. San Antonio was prepared to ship Tony Parker and the #29 pick to Portland in exchange for Andre Miller, Nicolas Batum and the #21 pick, but the trade died when the Spurs insisted that Richard Jefferson somehow be included in the deal. Other players would have been included in the trade to make salaries work. Talks have quieted for now, but they could pick back up tomorrow if one of the teams has a change of heart.

Spurs offseason after offseason getting the Euros they want/wanted = not good for the rest of the league.

Those days are mostly gone. There was a time when San Antonio was one of only a handful of teams who truly scouted all over the globe, but most teams do that now so the probability of San Antonio pulling some international player gem late in the draft is much lower.

If San Antonio does manage to pull off a trade for Batum & Miller, it's only fair that the Lakers ask that there be an investigation into the legality of the trade.

I hate LA, but it would be funny if someone busted Pop's balls about that one since he has been the squeaky wheel for the Gasol trade and the Lebron signing.
