This is pathetic. Ive ussually thought Morey makes good decisions but letting Wafer go was idiotic.

Well, hopefully we can sign Iverson to fill that scoring role.

Where is Jonathan Feigen and why isn't he doing his job. Is he stuffing his face with food or something? All he does is cover the rockets. But yet its always Mark Berman or Yahoo breaking the news on the rockets. First it was Yahoo breaking the news about Yao's season ending injury and now this. I have a subscription to the chron, so I have the right to complain. John, you only cover one team. Do your damn job.

Panathnaikos is the team span plays for, on that team is also former NBA player Sarunas Jasivikeus sp?

Panathnaikos and Olympiakos are huge rivals, they hate eachother its like Red Sox Yanks

I'm sure that's exactly what Morey's working on right this second...

I doubt JT ever makes the regular rotation.

I think he would be the starting PG on the team right now and would thrive under Adelman.

What? I said no such thing, I said his outburst was part of immaturity and that a good coach (yes Adelman) would not hold a grudge.

Man, people, come on....let's not make up stuff.....

    Good luck to him.

Do we sign anyone now or no?

From what I recall you were in the camp that believed Vspan and Gundy was the issue, not Vpan and Rox. Meh, it's moot now because Scola is a beast.

I think Von's days in Europe will be short. I could easily see a team nearing the playoffs buying out his contract out there to come back to the sates. Look at that Orlando team last season. Rafer was a last second addition that gave them a chance, imagine if Von was on the market? That team might have not been punked so hard by KB24....

I don't understand why all of you rip DD for liking Wafer. I am with DD...Wafer could create his own shot...something this team badly needs.

He is not going to be as easily replaced as most of you think. I'm happy he is getting paid and wish we could have kept him

I think Feigen said in one of his last posts that he'll be on vacation for a little while.

He doesn't pass the ball, that way, you will never see Adelman's system work

I believed that VSpan should get more time to find out if he was part of the future, because that team was not going to win that year, so they should have found out what they had as they built going forward. I was convinced that Rafer would never work out on a championship team, and wanted to see what we had in VSpan....

I did like his grit, but what I said was far different than the mythos that has developed about my ManCrush on him.

Same with Von, never said he was the all everything, or was a superstar, just that he was young, could score, and the team needed a player like that. In a year or two someone will say I said "He was the next Tmac" or some crazy thing like that.

    Ah well...what can you do?

I agree, I think teams are scared of spending $$$$ this year because of the uncertainty of the salary cap and lux tax number next year, if they reopened the one time buy out deal that Cuban used on Finley, I think it would open things up for players like Von, Sessions, Iverson, Lee...tons of players that normally would be fending multiple offers.

Because people make their own conclusions and they have decided that Von was crap, even though he performed well in the regular season and playoffs....

Not all star caliber, but pretty good....

Too often they look at one game and think that he struggled the whole series, and example is the Lakers series.

Von outplayed Sasha over the course of the entire series, but some folks will reference the opposite because they don't look at the entire picture.

ummmh ok.....this team needs heart and consistency to overachieve first and foremost. And why put individual accolade before teamwork. Von Wafer played for a contract, remember, thus making it more about numbers than intangibles.

So did we not use Adelman's system this year?

Some of you act like Von Wafer played last year but we fired our coach and this will be Adelman's first year.

Von Wafer just played in Adelman's system and played pretty damn good in this first year.

I agree, he was playing for a contract, as was Artest...I have no issue with a player thinking of themselves, they have to do that, because the organization isn't thinking of anything but themselves.

Watch TMac this year for an even better example.

    Nature of the beast, really.

I really liked Wafer.. Now we lost two players that I wanted to keep. :(

Of course I wanted Wafer more than Artest..

Wafer is very exciting to watch and shows emotions on the court.. Some are questionable but still this guy brought what he could every night he played with a little extra. I hope this article is untrue.

Oh and as far as the defense that Wafer brought.. **** his first real season in the NBA.. DEFENSE CAN BE TAUGHT!! wow.

For those that are ripping on DD.. you guys are dumb.

You don't prove yourself in just one season, you have to do it over 2 or 3, then you can look to get paid....I'm glad they didn't sign him, b/c vujacic would continue to own him

I feel your pain my friend. It sucks. I'm not a Von fan myself, but I was an SF3 fan, and seeing him go both times was hard.
