This was the one move left in the second round that I could get excited about!

Budinger is super-athletic (not a Steve Novak) and could easily make the team.

    Great, great pick!

I doubt the Rockets will trade these guys any time soon. I do think Morey is hoping to be active in trading players this offseason and may need some bodies.

Taylor sounds like he may be able to fight for PT. Budinger is probably a flyer for potential.

funny that you say that, because budinger can actually jump out the gym and dunk with the best of them. look up some of his dunk highlights from dunk contests. he can also shoot the ball from 3. he really needs to improve on his defense and ball handling and creating his own shot. more of a set shooter that can work off screens.

Think Novak that can dunk. He have the size and the athleticism, all he needs is to learn to play defense.

rofl at your willingness to rofl when you know nothing about chase.

He has a 40+ inch vertical, was once one of the top volleyball players in the country, and impressed MJ during a pickup game when he was in high school.

The knock on Chase is his toughness and unwillingness to take it to the hole. But nobody should question his athleticism.

    Signed,

Didn't Chase have a shot to be a high pick after his freshman year, then he decided to go back to school?

This guy's a steal. I had him going in the mid-late 1st round. If he stayed another year in college, he would be a lottery pick.

alright Im just speculating we got Budinger.... and Budinger is basically related to Kerr... so maybe a deal for Amare is gonna involve Chase? I hope we keep Chase, though

    http://www.realgm.com/boards/viewtopic.php?t=912956

Ok if you didn't know already Chase Budinger is basically like Steve Kerr's godson. Kerr and Sarver are U of A alumni with Chase's dad. Now some of these articles are from a year ago but they still mean the same thing. Like I mentioned about 6 months ago I would be shocked if Steve Kerr passes on Budinger because he's like family, not only with Kerr but with Sarver. This is similar to the Knicks situation where D'Anthony picked that one Italian guy because he lived with his father. Now it looks like Kerr is going to do the same thing by drafting Chase Budinger with the #14 pick. So just letting everyone know not to be surprised when they announce Chase Budinger as the newest player of the Phoenix Suns...
