I really had faith that they wanted to bring him back, after this past week's issues, I can't hang on to that belief. T Mac opens his mouth, back to the bench. and they are basically saying, you're not in our plans, we are moving on. as someone who wasn't sold on tmac when he was first traded here, I think its unfair to forget that this is the guy who was here for most of the streak. he has been healthier that yao. but I guess he ruined his relationship last season with his antics. sad to end this way.
honestly i would have rather seen Chase (if he was healthy) and JT/Harris get those minutes over ariza i think ariza's minutes should come down a bit and let those a combo of those two play. Chase can create his own shot and shown to be a better than avg passer. I'd like to see Harris and JT more out there
You know, I am a huge tmac fan. I stuck by him all this time and gave him the benefit of the doubt. But heres my issue with him... Hes been back for less than 10 games and is granted average of 7mins a game. Why b**** about that?? Its not like hes been playing 20 games and nothing has changed ....! If this was game 20 of his return, then complain, but its only game 6! Give it time Tmac, geez!
Check his stats in the minutes he is getting. Check his diminishing commitment to being a competent defender. Nobody in the Rockets organization believes he has anything that will help this team.
whenever t-mac was in the game everyone deferred to him and the ball stopped in his hands. it was like watching hte JVG rockets. players like Landry and Scola had to get out of their usual position in the post and set a pick because Tmac called for it. i think Adelman noticed the offense was changing drastically when t-mac was playing.
i dont think he will get traded, So Rockets coach Rick Adelman told basketball’s highest-paid player this season – $23 million – there were no plans to increase his role beyond the eight minutes per night, that they had witnessed nothing that warranted his insertion into the regular rotation. Notice he avoided directly quoting adelman, instead he used his own words so we can believe what he wants us to believe.
Dude thats crazy, just like the man said in teh article 8 minutes is not enough time for anyone in the league to prove their worth.
Certainly, there were action items being discussed in Adelman and McGrady's meeting, prior to the 6 game trial period that we are not aware of. Possibly, a trigger was to be executed after the 6 games that would theoretically lead to extended minutes for T-Mac?
Neither you, nor I are a proven evaluator of NBA talent, hence your conviction is not as founded as you may believe.
Yes, you are correct, however, I dont blame T-Mac for that I blam the team. Whenever T gets the ball its like they just stand around and wait for him to make a play instead of moving. I would rather see them continue to move around. I think we should all be able to agree that when Tracy has played on the floor, he will make the pass to the open player.
No! No, no, not 6! I said 7. Nobody's comin' up with 6. Who works out in 6 minutes? You won't even get your heart goin, not even a mouse on a wheel. 7's the key number here. Think about it. 7-Elevens. 7 dwarves. 7, man, that's the number. 7 chipmunks twirlin' on a branch, eatin' lots of sunflowers on my uncle's ranch. You know that old children's tale from the sea. It's like you're dreamin' about Gorgonzola cheese when it's clearly Brie time, baby. Step into my office.
I doubt he will get traded, as Darryl Morey will end up looking like a d******d for doing such a thing.
Then how does everyone not drafted in the first round get big minutes? How did Brooks, Lowry, Hayes, Landry etc. all get into an active rotation? He had his chances and he didn't wow anyone in the organization.
You saying 8 minutes is enough time for T-Mac to prove his worth, just tells me you have never played the game before. Even an NBA general manager thought 8 minutes was a joke and tells you nothing. The whole thing is turning into a farce.
I don't know why, maybe it's the fact that I don't want to see T-Mac leaving, but I have a feeling nothing will happen and T-Mac will just start playing 8 minutes again, or maybe even a little more. I wish we keep him, and even if we don't, at least I don't want to see him waived. Play him, or trade him....
