Actually, I thought this was more fitting... <div><object width="320" height="172"><param name="movie" value="http://www.dailymotion.com/swf/x1x3qa&colors=background:A31212;glow:FDFCFF;foreground:FFF5F5;special:FFFBED;&related=0"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.dailymotion.com/swf/x1x3qa&colors=background:A31212;glow:FDFCFF;foreground:FFF5F5;special:FFFBED;&related=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="320" height="172" allowfullscreen="true" allowscriptaccess="always"></embed></object><br /><b><a href="http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x1x3qa_third-eye-blind-jumper_music">Third eye blind - jumper</a></b><br /><i>Uploaded by <a href="http://www.dailymotion.com/Dixvad59">Dixvad59</a>. - <a href="http://www.dailymotion.com/us/channel/music">Watch more music videos, in HD!</a></i></div>
He was clearly the best player in that streak. Weak schedule my arse. It's the second longest streak of all-time. Can't be any easier than the million home games the Lakers have already played this season.
Ahhhh, but you forget... in this league it's: <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/F_kfD0S0klA&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/F_kfD0S0klA&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> IN fact, this would be a good song to put a highlight reel to.
ok that shows that he trusted his teammates, that he passed the ball. He made his team mates better by commanding the double team.
No one knew about the Lowry trade last season until after it happened. Morey is going to surprise us again.
Revisionist history. When you have the opportunity to snag a difference-maker, you do it. No questions asked. The difference-makers in the NBA, historically, get you to the top of the mountain. Look at the last 3 decades: 1980- Magic Johnson 1981- Larry Bird 1982- Magic Johnson 1983- Moses Malone 1984- Larry Bird 1985- Magic Johnson (Kareem, not sure if he was on the 80 and 82 teams) 1986- Larry Bird 1987- Magic/Kareem 1988- Magic/Kareem 1989- Isiah Thomas 1990- Isiah Thomas 1991- MJ 1992- MJ 1993- MJ 1994- Dream 1995- Dream 1996- MJ 1997- MJ 1998- MJ 1999- Duncan 2000- Shaq/Kobe 2001- Shaq/Kobe 2002- Shaq/Kobe 2003- Duncan 2004- THE ONE EXCEPTION (Billups played like a difference-maker) 2005- Duncan 2006- Wade 2007- Duncan 2008- Pierce 2009- Kobe When you get a chance to get a McGrady, you get him, plain and simple. That's the way of the NBA, like it or not. It was worth the risk. You can never predict injuries. Weisbrod was absolutely no genius in this trade- we certainly got the better of that deal. He made the correct decision in drafting Howard- definitely give him kudos for that. But the McGrady trade was bad for Orlando based on what they received for him. How that franchise performed in subsequent years has a lot to do with getting Lewis, drafting Nelson, picking up Pietrus, etc.
Actually it doesn't show that. Correlation does not imply causation. And McGrady only commanded a double team when he attacked the basket.
I guess Robert Parish, Kevin McHale, James Worthy, Kareem Abdul Jabar, Bill Lambier, Joe Dumars, Scottie Pippen, Dr. J, David Robinson, Manu Ginobili, Tony Parker, Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen, Paul Gasol, and Shaquille O'Neal (Miami edition) aren't all "difference makers".
No. Of course not. It is not entirely a poker game. I think the OP is right. Other superstars could worry because Houston is no more known to back them up. I think the player McGrady has deserved to know this however, since this is the truth we can move on.
I love the fact that there haven't been any direct quotes from Adelman or Morey, yet. Now, don't get me wrong, they most likely aren't lying about the situation, but Adrian Wojnarowski constantly stirs the pot. I want to hear what Adelman and Morey think.
ESPN is reporting it on the scroll at the bottom of SportsCenter. I believe it's a done deal... the request of a trade, anyway.
