the thing that sucks is that if we were in the East we'd have a clear and easy road to the finals.... instead lebron will have his d@#k waxed in the media. The cavs would be lucky to get to the conference finals in the west.

lebron is probably the best player in the game, though I think is Kobe is deadlier, but he's proof that playoffs are simply a matter of matchups. If the cavs and rockets changed places over the last 5 years, he probably hasn't gotten out of the first round and Mcgrady likely has a finals appearance under his belt and certainly the rockets would have gotten out of the first round every single time.

 

KG is almost 33 and has been pretty durable over the course of his career. I do, however, agree that overall these guys start breaking down younger due to the excess mileage. I've also always felt the guys who don't break into the NBA until later in their careers seem to age a bit slower due to not having all the NBA wear and tear on them.

 

I don't remember anyone saying this though perhaps some KG "haters" did. Thibs is indeed very important to the Celts defense because the schemes are very clear and the players know exactly what to do. Good coaching brings clarity. You can tell by his demeanor and actions on the sideline that Thibs has taken 100% of the defensive burden away from Doc Rivers. Doc's focus is on the offense and the referees.

At the same time, without KG covering so much ground and snapping at other players who don't put out, the Celts defense comes back to Earth and they are very beatable. He makes an incredible difference.

Count me in with those who say KG probably won't ever return to form for an entire season. If he has microfracture, remove "probably".

 

Hopefully you acknowledge a great defensive team takes players AND scheme. How was Minny's defense when KG was there?

Hahaha great news That's what happens when you're a classless dog, walking on fours, talking thrash to the wrong people and acting like you're all that.

Finally a year where the Rockets are healthy and some of the most classless, arrogant, ugly flopping ass biatches are not: Okur (for now), KG, Ginobli, Stoudamire and hopefully there will be more to come.

That would be a blow. I don't want to see Cavs vs Lakers finals. It will be Rockets vs Magic.
