I think the local guys (Feigen) are afraid to upset the organization. That's why everything you get from him is a whitewashed, PC version of what's going on. He's afraid if he tells it like it is he won't get the access he's used to. That would be my guess, anyway.
The accuracy of the information from Yahoo is directly porportional to your own personal bias towards TMac: If you are pro-Tmac then its speculation trying to stir stuff up. If you hate Tmac then its gospel and 100% truth. If you are indifferent, then you arent sure, and wonder whats going on. Or you don't really care. I fall into that 3rd category.
You can not just make up stories here in the USA, they would be sued...... There has to be some substance behind them. DD
I'd be willing to wager that it's T-macs agent. Tmac needs to play to get a contract next year. Tellem's gotta do whatever it takes to make that happen.
WTF? Seriously, you guys know what Libel, and defamation of character are? I mean honestly...gawd sometimes I feel like I am talking to a plank. DD
Yahoo sports has some brain farts now and then, they will run some pieces that are unedited and poorly written. But the reporter that wrote the stuff on Tmac is a very credible source. I think this reporter has some moles in the Rockets front office, he broke the story of the trades for Budinger and Taylor via twitter.
Aren't newspapers protected from that? If that were the case why are all the tabloids and gossip columns still running? Maybe technically people can sue them, but if you're Tmac and you sued everyone who said you were gonna be traded last season then you would end up poorer than Sprewell.
At least Yahoo know their are players in the NBA not named Dwayne Wade, Kobe Bryant, Lebron James and Dwight Howard. ESPN on the other hand thing the NBA is a game made up of 4 teams consisting only of those 4 players, at least thats what you would think from looking at their website.
