live with that? why settle? that's not going to win us a championship. let Mcgrady sit and go shopping in the offseason

Mike Miller would be even better, I believe. But Washington wants to dump Butler's salary.

    Im thinking this:

Rockets get: Butler, Haywood, Darko (although I suspect Stevenson)

    NY gets: Mcgrady

Wizards get: Harrington, Budinger, (N.Robinson or Duhon), Rockets 1st round, Knicks 2nd round.

eww don't give up the first round for Butler who might only be here for a year.

A lottery pick is worth more IMO.

Maybe too much for Rockets to give up. Rockets can get a 7mil player if they let Tmac's contract expire.

Is Butler + Haywood worth CBud + 7mil player + 1st rounder? I doubt it.

I'm not sure what the exact pieces would be, but a 3 way deal between the Rocks, the Wizards, and the Knicks, where McGrady goes to New York, we get Butler and Haywood, and Washington gets cap relief, young talent, and picks seems pretty plausible. But what picks and what young talent?

AB is a high TO guy, Yao is a high YO guy, Ariza is a high TO guy, Butler is a high TO guy.

If the deal goes throught, I wonder how many TOs per game would Rockets average next year.

If the rockets lose an 1st round pick for that trade, it would be stupid...

les will have to spend some $$$$. McGrady will give us 23 mill to work with. go after free agents. nobody thinks Houston is capable of getting D Wade, Bosh, or Joe Johnson down here in RA's system but f*** it might as well give it a shot

Um...We only give up TMac and get two starters in return?

One of them a 2x All-star...Yea...i'll take that.

Butler isnt expensive and his contract only runs through next year. We means we will have him coming off the books in 2011-2012. If Haywood works out we can retain him at about 7 million to start. We need a guy who can step in and play big minutes, even with Yao.

Butler is far better than any perimeter player we have other than AB.

    Please god let this happen.

    This.

If Gasol made the Lakers a contender (they were NOT before he arrived), I failed to see where adding Haywood and Butler could not make us contenders.

This is one trade that could put us over the hump.
