Ottomaton, I think you're being a bit harsh on Dantley. Yes, he was a prickly guy, who's only long stint at any one team was at Utah, especially when Frank Layden, seemingly the only coach (after college), that he got along with, came on board as coach and the Jazz won a division title. Not a winner? Dantley had bad luck. With the Lakers, the team decided to go with the younger Jamaal Wilkes, and promptly won a title the next season. Playing for Detroit, his team made the finals and lost in 7 games to, naturally, the Lakers. The next year Detroit traded Dantley in mid-season for Aquirre, as you pointed out, with Detroit, naturally, winning their title right after he left. I think they would have won that title had Dantley stayed (just as I think LA would have won their title had they not traded Dantley), but we'll never know.

Something else not realized by many is that one of his legs was 3 inches shorter than the other and he required custom shoes in order to play. I always thought that affected his defense and certainly was the cause of his weird shooting form... flat footed. AD was one of those players you hated when he played against you. He gave the Rockets hell. During the season we made it to the finals with the Twin Towers, AD had an amazing game against us, making 28 free throws while scoring 46 points. Had 2 scoring titles, was Rookie of the Year, won a gold medal at the Olympics, an incredible shooter and scorer, despite that leg of his. Dantley's biggest problem, besides bad luck, was his personality. But not a winner? You can call him that, but I'd never say it. The guy could drive you crazy, but he could ball.

Haha, thought this was kind of funny-

Al Harrington | Knicks Top Email

The Knicks are actively making trade proposals around the NBA and their main target is Houston's Tracy McGrady.

Frank Isola of the New York Daily News thinks it's important the Knicks trade Al Harrington since he is part of a lot of scenarios.

Isola writes: "Harrington is aware -- and not pleased -- with the fact that Mike D'Antoni is eager to trade him. If Harrington isn't traded by next Thursday's deadline, the last six weeks of the season could result in unwanted drama inside the locker room."

Yeah, and changing his pivot everytime also helped throw off the defender. Dantley could ball big time. You could also through aguirre in that mix too of those undersized post guys. Not only that, dantley used to draw alot of fouls on people and had that step back jimmy. Ah, those were the good old days

Dantley was incredibly smart. Yeah, he drew a hell of a lot of fouls and was money at the line. I couldn't stand it when the Rockets played against him, lol, but he was fun to watch.

I've been away for awhile so i'm getting caught up.

I'm definitely on board with this as long as it's done in conjunction with another deal....and what about Cat's contract ?Is it involved or not ?

Scola should be shipped along with others for Bosh????????

We still will need a go to guy in crunch time.

Probably not. They're collecting insurance money like we are from McGrady. Still unsure about the McGrady insurance thing... are the Rockets really still receiving insurance money for every game he misses? If so Les/Rockets are in a win win situation.

Everyone on this board knows that everything Yahoo prints is 100% fact. Have they ever gotten one of their rumors wrong?

The simple facts are that Yahoo has rarely been close to being right and they are still posting sensational BS to get hits on thier website as they have done at each trade deadline. The fact ESPN is listing, as they state, an unconfirmed Yahoo report tells you how desperate ESPN was to fill airtime today. Yahoo is hardly enough of a reason to get remotely excited.

If this trade happens, wouldn't it put us in a good position for the 2011 free agents? Melo,Durant, since we'll have to work on yaos extenstion, landry(his raise)...I'm on my phone and don't feel like searching every page for Bimathug posts... since I get all my info from CF, from what I've read we'll be in a better position financially after next season right?

Shouldnt that other player just be Mobley's contract (insurance is paying it) just to make the salaries work? I know we are not going to get Jefferies or Curry but i guess i wouldnt mind Hughes...next thursday cant come any sooner so all this madness can end!
