that trade makes ZERO because the Wizards are trying the SHED salary not add a long term deal like Ariza's. A young rookie would be the limit in terms of salary commitment. They might be back around the tax line if they take back Ariza. Plus. Battier WILL get traded next season and Ariza will become the inevitable replacement.
They just signed the guy. No way, yeah no way, they're gonna trade him without even seeing him in the lineup with Yao and another piece. All the sudden he then becomes the 3rd, 4th, or 5th option. He ain't going anywhere soon, deal with it.

We have to be thankful for the Knicks. We clowned them for most of this season when they said they had interest in McGrady. They must really like him because they are basically doing all our work for us.
