    NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't see how this is better than Sixers deal except that 1 one the Wiz
players has an expiring contact. If we are not looking to be a big player in FA,
    then what does it matter?

What would it take to get sixers deal done? Why has talk died down on that one?

Iggy and Dal season stats and age look better to me than Butler and Haywood. So what if both players(76ers) make 10+mil a year for 5 and 2 years respectively? That's 2 players for what Mclady was making.

I can't see why we would do the WIZ deal........AND have to give up a draft pick or cheap young role playing talent.

Someone fill me in, because if this WIZ deal goes down and we give up more than JUST mcgrady-that is gonna suck>>>....

It's amazing how bold people get in throwing around terms like "you people" in cyberspace.

Don't lump me in with others, dude, just because I think one player would be a better fit here than others. I do have some sense in what one player brings and another does not. Hell, I even put in the requisite "I'm okay with having Butler in Houston" bit, seeing as GMs are shying off the big dollar contracts.

The Sixers are looking to get something big in return, in other words they want to reload not rebuild while the Wiz want to rebuild and afford us incredible financial flexibility going into the hurricane that is the new CBA in 2011.

I am VERY excited about the 18th but not only because of what we could receive for TMAC but also if he isn't traded then the Rox's direction is as clear as it's been in a LONG time.

Caron Butler will give this team the swagger we so desperately need not to mention he's not a 3 point chucker and can create his own shot. Haywood will be great for what we need him. Not to mention if we get to keep all our guys minus T-mac that is a done deal in my book.

    How about this trade:

Houston receives: Butler, Haywood, Jordan Hill

    NY receives: T-Mac, Stevenson

Washington receives: Harrington, Eddy Curry, Scola, Jermaine Taylor

I wouldn't do it and I don't think Morey will, either. Llull is part of our future, IMO, a terrific prospect that has everything we need at the 1 when we're able to bring him over in a year or two. I see him as a possible starter at the point for the Rockets, given time.

And that big something is Amar'e Stoudemire and the Suns will probably take on both A.I. and Dalembert without any problems. Most posters need to forget about the Philly deal, because they see something like Amare in the pond. A marquee player who can put b#tts in the seat for the rest of season, while having a solid shot at the playoffs. Phoenix probably likes the idea of unloading J.Rich and another player with Amar'e. While, they get two pretty good defenders in return and a borderline all-star in A.I. (who is only in his mid 20s).

The Suns would lose an all-star big man (though one who doesn't hardly play any defense) for two above average players (at their position, one is pretty good for a center) that in a way rounds out there roster.

Both teams win, unlike, most of the other deals. The Sixers get to keep all of the young prospects (Speights, Young), while the Suns can get something in return for Amare in case he decides to bolt during the summer, anyway. At this stage, Suns do get an insurance for him being 50/50. I'd imagine Philly would throw some serious money Amare's way though.

We do not have any players on the team worthy of that unless we add a combination of Scola/Landry/Lowry and a pick.

When I say that, I mean it in the sense of the Suns winning games or making to the playoffs...they probably won't drop-off that much, if any at all.

Over the years, it's been shown that Nash engine is the one that runs the Phoenix train, also add in the fact again the two players being traded for Amar'e aren't necessarily scrubs and are really good defenders (and very athletic). While, Iguodala is definitely not a slouch on offense.

This is a good deal, Caron Butler is a solid player who brings attitude to a team. He just seems like he cares to win.

We need to do this deal.

So nothing happens which probably will be the case. Where do the Rockets go from here once the deadline passes? Their general outlook for the future? We can cross FA's off the list and probably no Houston-McGrady deal anywhere too. What do you suggest the Rockets do? I think they'll lounge around and try to buy picks and hope they pan out. I don't really see them taking on anything either just lining themselevs up for a FA after next season who will surely test the market and will probably goto a larger market. Certainly this team can't compete the way it looks. They'll be fighting just to make the playoffs, which they'll make, but i don't see them going anywhere. If it were me i would have something to the smallest extend of a McGrady trade platue lined out for a pick if i could. So the way it looks and my outlook is wait it out another season next year and take on nothing, reduce payroll, budget cutting etc.. I think they should stockpile assets/picks/have money for 'sign on bonuses' for 'the right player'. What do you suggest?

I dunno where y'all heard Chase Budingers name pop up in these rumors????????????????????

Like I posted before... Feigen said this yesterday The rockets have mentioned they don't wanna trade budinger brooks or landry. Why do y'all think the negotiations with the Sixers ended??...the Rockets don't want to give up their young core players..
