get it done get it done.....morey should be hired to fix our economy hahaha. Can you believe the Lakers traded Butler for Kwame Brown, which ended up to be gasol thanks to Grizz....
I would trade people away to ensure Kevin Martin does not wear a Rockets uniform. Truly, at least act like you are interested in defense? at least for a quarter?
in short: it helps short term (this season's playoff push), yet keeps a lot of options open in the future (unlike iggy's contract).
Maybe something like this? http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=yhxyozs This trade nets us 2 MUCH NEEDED 7 footers.
With Les's willingness to purchase 2nd round picks and the abundance at which 2nd round picks are offered for sale on draft night, I would have no problem throwing in the rockets 2nd round pick or any future 2nd rounder for that matter. It would be painfull seeing the rockets give this years 1st round pick though, but I would be very surprised if Morey did use the rockets 1st rounder in any trade before the deadline.

I know Darko is crap, but he can at least stand there and be as tall as Pau Gasol. Plus he is an expiring contract. I'm not saying Darko will lead us to the playoffs, I know he is terrible, but he will be leaving after this season anyway, and his money coming off the books will allow us to re-sign Lowry or Scola.
I think Nate likes playing in New York (he is back in the rotation and even started a game over Duhon this past week). Much like David Lee, Nate will hold out hope that either New York strikes out on the big names and instead opts to re-sign him to a big money deal, or in the alternative, that the Knicks can sign-and-trade him to a team with cap room. Either way, he is most likely to make big money by staying in New York. As for Chase, I don't think Washington wants those other assets (or at least not to the point where they'd pull the trigger on this deal), and frankly, I would much rather have a mid-first round pick than Chase Budinger. No way Morey throws that pick into this trade unless his crystal ball tells him that the Rockets will surge up the standings and the pick will end up being in the mid 20s again.
this trade is attractive to me cause we've dying for a 7-0 ft back up center that doesn't have a bad contract!
Haywood is a Headcase. Lived in the DC area for 4 years and Haywood has always been trouble. He has a loud mouth and gets into it with his teammates quite often. Pulled out a couple of Etan's dreads in a fight
Its easy to develop a bad attitude when you play on a bad team... If Ron Artest was on good behavior here, anyone can change.
very good points as usual. maybe i've been drinking the punch at DD's party too much, but i'm really high on chase. the shooting, the athleticism, the IQ... it's rare to find all of this in one player, and his rebounding and defense have come a long way since the beginning of the season. he's playing like a mid first round pick. i would rather hold on to a guy i know has mid first round value, than move him for (what was the clutchfans saying?) "an inknown commodity" lol. the draft pick can be a bust, chase is not. i say let the wizards roll the dice.
Didn't Mike James wanted to be a Knick? http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=yjaywga Or you could go with this one: http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=yzsrd4u This last one would give the Knicks and Wizards all expiring contracts in return, isn't that what they want in the first place?
