How is Butler at that Leeb? Can he create? I have not watched him so much, but I will tell you one other thing....I would trade Scola for Jamison too...

    ;)

Shaved it this morning son. What I thought was a good luck charm turned out to be the opposite.

    Nice job, boy.

It was not looking all that great, though it was thick...for a 12 year old like you.

i really like the deal, i really like butler...except for the fact that he cant stay healthy....thats the last thing we need...but its all good once we get yao back and put a few more pieces in place we got ourselves a squad!

Another key aspect of this deal is that is moves everyone to their rightful spots on the team.

1)Hayes to the bench to be the defensive specialist/stopper

2)Battier to the bench although I could see him being moved also if this deal goes through sooner then later.

3)Ariza becomes the 3rd or 4th option where he belongs and allows him to focus on the aspects of the game that made him attractive to the Rox.

4)Andersen can be used as a specialist when needed.

This would let everyone do what they do best instead of something they are not.

Also another positive is that the dreaded No Deal is Imminent is not included in this article.

At this point Brendan Haywood looks like Wilt Chamberlain to me.

keep holdin out morey.. it seems that some teams are begining to sweat a little (especially NY), but not enough yet. still feel a better deal could await although i wouldn't mind this wiz deal if worse came to worse. two solid role players along with good contracts (non binding)

Does anybody know if Ariza or Lowry will be out after the all-star break?

I'm not all for this deal yet, I'd really hope we'd get a least one young piece or pick from, probably, New York. We'll see how it turns out.
If we do make this deal, I'm all for trading either Battier or Ariza, I would prefer Battier even though I think he's a way better player.

This is my first post so bear with me. looking at the deal I think Washington is going to want to dump Stevenson in this deal. The question I have for you guys is if you were Morey and to make this deal work you had to pick between Jefferies(ugly contract) and Stevenson( terrible play ) who would you want and why? I say take Jefferies just because it gives us an option to move Scola. I dont think Stevenson offers us anything?

to make this deal happen, we would have to take mike james and/or deshawn stevenson. dont mind really since they we are getting two other quality players that we desperately need.

Haywood and Mike James expire this year, and stevenson and butler expire next year. this is exactly the type of deal Morey is looking to make.

Same here. The guy is going to really surprise some fans with the way his defense changes the game. He can also score the ball enough to keep defenses honest. And if we're looking into the future, he can play next to Yao against big team teams. He's mobile enough.

Butler is good at creating a good shot. He's good in the post, he's good off the dribble and he's played under jordan who was under adelman's wing so he knows the offense. He's not the creator like a younger version of tracy, but he can create. my only concern with him has been health. He's been nicked alot lately, but when he's played, he's been pretty good. He's a good player and fits the mold of morey saying a all star with more tread on the tir than people think.

I really like jamison too and i know you have been for years. The way he plays, i think he has good years left, my only problem with him is if yao can't comeback to form, he's not good enough to justify his contract. If you told me yao would come back and avg 17ppg and 8 rebs, i would be all over jamison, but i don't know and for how long yao will be able to do that. Like i said last season at the beginning, i like either the rangy type at the 4 or the shot blocker type next to yao. The jamison, charlie v type or the camby type. I like scola and landry, but i just don't think either makes up for what yao lacks nor do they create enough usable space to punich a team like utah.

DD, Butler has some solid handles and I can guarantee you one thing, way BETTER handles than Ariza and Battier.

The only thing about Butler is he is not a good 3 point shooter. We need 3 point shooting in this type of system especially when Yao comes back. If we dont get 3 point shooting, so many people can close in on Yao and he will have nobody to kick it out to.

Haywood is a stud indeed, but I'm really concerned with his health. He played around 6 games last year which could be a sign of bad things in the future.

IMO the dude is a top 10 center, although not because he is that GREAT but just the state of centers in the league right now isn't very good. Another reason why I liked this deal better then Iggy/Dalembert as Haywood is better then Dalembert with a MUCH better contract.
