If TMac was capable of playing good ball he would playing. He surely isnt a star at this point.

Wrong, Tracy's value at this point resides in his contract.

And it is like gold moving into this next years free agent class.

This is the kind of move that can help turn a franchise around reagrdless.

    23 million in cap relief,insured at 250,000/game..........

Agreed. T-mac isn't playing because we are subtly trying to pull a Duncan. Problem is our role players care too much and are too damn good to be the NJ Nets at this point. What I'd hate to see but I'm afraid is inevitable, is ending up as the #9 seed. This team desperately needs to get a cheap young playmaker that is only available in the top 10 picks.

Anyone who thinks T-mac right now is not as good as Ariza is just fooling themselves.

    As I said earlier.

If you want anything of value for McGrady (basketball talent I mean) then you have to give Tracy a chance to show other teams that he is healthy

Otherwise you will just get more Dalembert offers lol

This little blurb could be unsubstantiated BS for all we know. No sources are cited.

Remember when TMAC announced that he was shutting down?

Best case scenario would be that he's back by DECEMBER. TODAY IS DECEMBER 4TH.

I think the Rockets are afraid that he'll hurt himself again before the trade deadline making it almost impossible to trade him. I think that's why they're insisting that he be 100% before they play him. They will play him when they think he can play without hurting himself and his trade value.

Poor tmac cheering on his teammates. Battier manipulated rick into not to play tmac because he would get traded.

Wait, do you want a good pick so bad that you want this team to be as bad as New Jersey and Minnesota? Get real. There's no way that's going to happen, and there's no reason we can't make the playoffs.

but what about winning as many games as we can this season? The best team isnt on the floor right now...fans dont want to settle for a .500 team. Without tracy thats what we are. It isnt a good look either way. If tracy isnt on the court its a lose/lose...period. this isnt next year.

really they should let his contract expire... then we can sign a couple of good players. or even re-sign him if he does well. but re-signing him would be unlikely.

great win tonite btw... this is my first post. make me feel welcome lol

The reason I think the story is BS, is because I can't think of one legit reason for why a coach and a club would lie to their players.

I'm glad someone else knows to be incredulous when reading stories with no sources on the internet.

    THE TRUTH AT LAST
So the truth has officially been told after all the lies!
So cross Coach A and you are out-- T mac and Von Wafer, now know all about it!
Coach A has alread stated that it is going to be difficult to fit Yao Ming into his new team scenario.
Is this just the opening line which also leads to Yao Ming not playing on the Rockets again?
Should Yao be advised to start looking elsewhere ?
Do you think Les will insist and force Adelmans hand when Yao is ready to play?
Should upper etchelon players now be weary of joining a Rockets team under Coach A? :p

The best team is on the floor Tracy is not healthy, and he won't make that much difference this year if he is healthy...so let him go.

What's unclear to me is whether the Rockets are keeping him out just because they dislike his "act" (mainly, what he did last year), or they're keeping him out for legitimate basketball reasons. If its the former, that strikes me as incredibly petty.

Whatever happened last year is last year. If he's willing to practice hard this year and play the role asked of him this year, and if he's healthy, then based on his talent and his skill-level he should be playing.

Why won't the ORGANIZATION just come up with a date or just tell t-mac to go home until the trade him, the longer they keep quiet the more BS articles will pop-up.

Agreed. You can only play the whole "we don't think he's in game shape yet" act for so long. Sooner or later you have to lay the cards out on the table and it appears we really want nothing to do with him. So rather than being disingenuous and deceptive about a possible return, let's just be straight up with him and eliminate all the endless confusion.

You 110% sure he isnt better than trevor?? Seriously now...The team is better with tracy on the court? Both in the standings and in the NBA landscape...were boring w/o him...were not as talented w/o him...period.

I would say it would be a good guess to say this info is coming from McGrady's camp.
