again, all a guessing game in regards to where he's at right now.

yes, i'm saying tracy shoots flat-footed jumpers pregame in all the games i have been at. dude barely tries during shoot around. so i wouldn't read much into that in terms of whether he's ready or not.

I am praying too, but its hard to ask Detroit to give up Hamilton for nothing, a 3 way trade should be needed.

Quite embarrassing of the Rockets organization to fool the fans that McGrady will be back, when their main goal is to get rid of him. Whats the point of keeping him around the team when he's never going to play with the Rockets again. Going to road games, sitting on the bench, shooting at the pregame warmups, practicing with the team, maintaining relationships as a teammate... how will the other players feel when he gets traded. That can't be good for team morale.

If the team has already decided to part ways with Tracy without giving him a legitimate shot of a coming back, I think they should just be honest with him and the fans. Tell him that his welcome has been worn out, and he can go chill in Chicago while they find a suitable trade partner. All this unnecessary drama would be done for. A little transparency goes a long way.

I'm thinking Chris Bosh has a good chance of coming here now that he is so disgruntled in Toronto.

In the newest SI there is an article Canada Bye? by Chris Mannix that lists Houston as the first destination that Bosh might land this season.

"Houston is expected to pursue Bosh and can offer Toronto enormous salary-cap relief in the form of Tracy McGrady's $23.2 million expiring Contract"

The bold shows where youre loyalty lies and please enlighten us on how YOU KNOW he has something left. Teh bottom line is you need to STFU and stop assuming things and trying to pass them off as fact. You dont know more than management. So stop acting like you do.

Pacers need to do something. I think they're the Rockets best chance to get back some good players.

Dunleavy + Foster + Diener (out 4-6 weeks) + Head (non-guaranteed, Dec 15 trade restriction)

Send Diener + Head + cash to an under the cap team. They make a cash profit, and allow the trade to work.

Rockets are comfortably under the tax after this too.

Best post in the whole thread. EVERYONE should have to read this before they post.

The same goes for for all the TMac apologist. :p

And he's been the compensated with one of the highest anual contracts ever given. The Rockets owe him nothing. They are doing what they think is in the best interest for the TEAM! Which is exactly what they should be doing.

Thanks. Could one of them be the "source" Clutch referred to a while ago?

Agreed, if the Rockets organization never wanted T-Mac back from the start then everything they've done this season regarding him has been foolish.

If that is the case, then all they've done is purposely invite a distraction into the organization for no reason.

    This trade simply sucks.

They'd have to throw in 5 1st picks to make it work.

This is what the rox are looking at when they try to trade tracy. Teams are not going to give up good young talent and a producer for his expiring. People will bring up the gasol tradefor kwame brown, but the lakers gave up their top international prospect,a first rd pick in critterdon, and 3 future first rd picks. Yeah the lakers made out like bandits because they were ready to win now and memphis didn't like how gasol was pouting and acted like he didn't want to be there, but memphis look like they made a pretty good deal.

    No way

If Toronto will trade CB4, they want to get the young defensive minded hardworking rebounding center (Joakim Noah style of play). It will give them a chance to put Andrea Bargnani in to PF officialy. Do we have this kind of player? we need him as much as they need

I think we can conclude that at the very least Tracy is not going to be a Rocket after this season.

If Tracy was 100% normal, I think they would play him to drive his value up in a trade. They'd let him light up a couple of teams for 25+ points and then hit the phones - hard.

But I think they see that he is not 100%. Playing him will cost them $250k per game. Playing them will mess with the chemistry as he "finds his rhythm". Playing him will cost someone who will be on the team next year some nice playing time. And playing him might actually drive his value down (see Eddie Curry - there was hope that he could still play until the Knicks paraded him out there with thoughts of driving his value up. I actually think his value dropped after a few games and I suspect the Knicks saw the same thing too because he was back to DNP-CD after just a few games).

So assuming that Tracy is not 100%, his value is in 1) the "mystery of can he play", 2) his expiring contract and 3) the insurance that pays his salary. Once you start playing Tracy 3 disappears and 1 may go as well. That means you've lost 2 of the 3 things that make him valuable. 2 and 3 is what teams looking for a break are going to value. 1 may be a bonus if you find out he can still play and you want to bring out some fans to your floundering team.

Insert LAC. Maybe they are willing to move Kaman + ... for some extra cash next year and more PT for Griffin when he gets back (sliding Camby over to C).
