maybe people realize that the economy started its freefall way before obama got into office and they know that obama is trying his best to come up and implement solutions to turn the economy around..

i agree with that too. i think obama is trying but everything is so jacked up he has an impossible task. nothing is going to magically turn this economy around. we have had far too much wealth destruction and we need to fundamentally change our economy away from only being based on consumer spending. i do like some of his foreign policy decisions and i think this credit card reform is probably a good idea too. i also like the idea of being energy independent and green energy but the cost for the green energy will be very very high if he ignores nuclear. anyhow...i think obama gets that america needs massive change but i just hope he can implement this change without sliding too far into socialism (which we already have).

    Really?

    http://www.gallup.com/poll/113980/Gallup-Daily-Obama-Job-Approval.aspx

The facts seem to disagree. There's been no correlation between Obama's approval levels and the stock market.

His approval rating is tied to the fact that people are desperate and looking for a savior. Does it mean he is doing the right things? No. Does it mean he is doing the wrong things? No.

GWB was beloved following 9/11, because people were scared and looking for leadership.

Hitler rose to power because of a desperate Germany. I don't mean to compare Hitler to Obama, because outside of being great speakers, and arising to power during an economic crisis, they have virtually nothing in common.

FDR & Reagan are 2 examples on the other side that for the most part are considered successes.

Everyone is just looking for a leader.

The poll must be severely skewed and obviously should be taken with a pound of salt.

They weren't talking to some of the folks here at clutchfans.

Not to mention that it was published by the "media" and we all know what that means.

I was referring to your claims at the begininng of the econcomic meltdown, you were saying that it was being overplayed by the media.

    I fall under this category.

Of course, I also feel that Mickey Mouse or Bugs Bunny would be in a similar situation after 100 days of taking office from W. Granted, I think Obama is doing a better job than those cartoon characters could do, but I will forever think that the best thing for turning the country around was W's term expiring.

    (BTW, I voted McCain)

there has been some correlation but that could also be related to the initial obama honeymoon ending. the disapprove numbers stopped going up after the market bottomed out in early march. i could also just be mixing up the insanely fast turn in investor sentiment. we've gone from megabearish to somewhat bullish with analysts calling an economic turn later this year.

Of course you did. When you lie, you should expect people to call you a liar. Duh.

no. i expected you to be an a-hole who can only label someone as something completely not true and then have the balls (or vagina in your case) to think that you actually have a valid point.
