If you ban card games then they'll just get in fights over dice or checkers or something

I believe Simmons mentioned last year that teammates will either get in fights over chicks(Blatche and McGee) or money/cards(Arenas/Crittenton, Mayo/Allen). Granted the Delonte-Von fight didn't have either.

I thought most teams already banned players from playing Boure or other card games on flights after the Arenas/Crittenton brouhaha last season?

I remember some coaches stood up for the players' right.

My brother-in-law and I play Bourre all the time. It's really fun and so far no gun fights. Then again, the most we ever played for was 200,000 . . . Vietnamese Dong. LOL!

nothing is happening. but i do see mayo being traded. i dont think he enjoys being a bench player, and maybe in a good system could emerge as a solid threat.

Chicago seems so clutch for him. he could fuel that squad to be a serious threat to the finals spot in the east. there good, theyll just die in the second round, or the first if they play the knicks.

How much do these players bet on card games? It would be pretty epic if the bet was for 100 dollars or less, and these millionaires got into a fist fight over ti

Didn't Mayo's dad (who is my age :O) just get arrested for a capital offense? The kid seems troubled...

Mayo is under a lot of stress after his dad got arrested for murder. He was just waiting to blow up on somebody. If I was the coach, I would try to be very understanding of his current emotional outburst and physical altercation.

I see your point but I can't agree...

That's like giving someone a free pass to do anything they like because they're going through something internally. A lot of people go through heartaches but they don't act on it though. IMO, you can't use that as an excuse.

Either way, these NBA teams/owners need to get involved here and ban all gambling. This is getting out of hand. These guys are suppose to be professionals. I don't have a problem with gambling personally but we've seen what's happen in the past when it comes to gambling.

Didn't Charles Oakley threaten to kill someone over $50K?

I think Oakley threatened to kill someone when they mistakenly gave him a regular Coke instead of a diet Coke.
