Man T-Mac has been called out by Yao and the press. We'll have to see how he responds when he comes back. If he doesn't play right, I think Adleman will pull him out. To be honest, T-Mac might be better in a Ginobili role coming off the bench.
Yea I really dont have an idea what the guy is talking about when he refers to Alston being a knucklehead. I dont think anyone outside the organization thinks of rafer that way. Just because many of us don't think he's good enough to run our team doesn't mean we think he's a knucklehead. Correct me if im wrong but I haven't heard anything new about rafer getting into any new trouble so I guess this guy doesn't know what he's talking about.
i wish he could just understand that if he wants to play his style he has to either come off the bench for the best 6th man in history, or trade him.
Shades of Steve Francis saying about JVG, "He's gonna coach the way he's gonna coach, I'm gonna play the way I'm gonna play, regardless." Rough times ahead. Crap.
I think TMac off the bench would be sick actually. While the other team is about to rest their best players, we bring a fresh McGrady into the game.
I think his saying the right thing though. If he draws the double team he should dish it out for the wide open J. Thats what people have been bagging him about no? Jacking up jumpers instead of passing it out. His not saying the wrong things honestly. I don't know why you have to pan him so. He gets the double team everytime, this will occur no matter how the rest of the team plays. Its just the truth. Ego or no Ego
I really doubt how credible this quote is from a sports writer that seldom covers the Houston Rockets. Do this McNeal guy put several anwers from different questions into one quote? When and where and what question does this quote comes from? I read most of the news around NBA everyday, Mcgrady is very complimentary to how good the Rockets are doing and he will try to fit in. It's just a very strange quote to me.
that guy loves yao, i think he had an article where he spent half of it saying why he wants Yao over Dwight Howard simply because of size.
If the quote is accurate, then its pretty disconcerting to me. I think it's obvious that the Rockets are not a team full of great shooters like the Kings were. A large part of our offensive rhythm comes from giving players the opportunity to create. Rafer is a much better player when he drives to the basket and gets a couple of layups, instead of shooting only 3 pointers. Bonzi is much better when taking it in. Even Shane seems to play better when he can get a few easy points on the inside. I think if you go back to a system where Mcgrady "creates" and the other players only get opportunities for jump shots, then the team will falter. Case in point, during the first stretch of the season, only Yao/tmac averaged double digit scoring. Everyone else sucked. Nowadays, you routinely find 4 to 5 guys in double digit scoring. The key is to find a balance between Mcgrady's creative abilities so as not to stifle some of the opportunities of the other players. It will be an interesting experiment, one that should have started long ago. At least now, it seems the entire team is behind Adelman's system.
I concur.. Tracy is his biggest fan.. He needs to start thinking in the moment. And at the moment, he's not better than bonzi wells. Start working harder and playing better yourself.
