I was thinking the same. Against the team that drafted him too.

The poster is saying since Ariza might get suspended, Chase might get to start and most certainly get playing time.

    Is that u Ron-Ron? ;)

Seriously, imagine if you had been hit in the head by that elbow. When you regained conciseness after an hour, would you go up to Trevor and say "Hey bro, what happened? Oh really? Naw, its cool, I mean...these things happen....BTW, did you’ all win again?"

    Exactly! That's why it's a big deal.

i understand the emotional part, he was fustrated, but you have to keep yourself in check. You have to think, what if that had landed, because obviously Ariza wasnt holding anything back when he threw that punch behind a defender when he wasnt looking. It would have been bad, and way more than just one game. I am just shocked that people feel this is not that big of a deal and only worth a 1 game suspension. R you telling me its not a big deal because he didnt land the punch?

Ariza did look like he was going after the ball with the Rudy hit, but yesterday's swing was ridiculous. Rockets need to have him sit out for a few games and start letting McGrady play at least 10 minutes a game. That way the pressure is off Ariza and maybe his Rafer shooting percentage will improve.

The book is out on Trevor, defenders just back away and dare him to shoot. The more he misses the less aggresive he becomes and reverts back to shooting jumpers in an attemp to break out of his slump.

I don't think he has confidence in his ball handling skills( I don't either) to beat someone off the dribble. Not gonna get many calls shooting J's.

Best thing he could do is let the game come to him and focus on D. Transition baskets and fast break buckets would do wonders for his confidence.

ok, I wasn´t clear. in no way im defending what ariza has done, it was a coward thing to do and he should be suspended, and yes it be even worse if he had landed the punch, especially since de rozan wasn´t even looking..... but what um trying to say is that this incident doesn´t all of a sudden make him a bad person, he made a mistake, there will be consequences and he will probably learn his lesson, but he aint a horrible person as some people are now saying, thats what i mean, he made a mistake, but he shouldnt become the second coming of t-mac in clutchfans.

why do people think it's simply ariza shooting bad? he's not shooting bad. he's just taking bad shots (or shots that he has no business taking). if he continues to take the same shots he has been taking, expect a sub 40% fg.

what ariza needs to do is more cutting, moving around screens for catch and shoot around the 18-20ft area, only take open 3s, and try somehow to get to the line more (offensive rebounds, slashing....)

if you actually watch cut down the offensive play of every possession trevor is involved, he is terrible. terrible.

i'm sure none of the posters on here dissing ariza have ever lost their cool on the court... sure...

so what, it happened. it's happened a few times in his career. he's flying around out there with the best athletes in the world and he's a firery guy on the court. the play wasn't something to be proud of, but who cares, let it go.

nobody is perfect, especially playing balls to the wall everyday competing.

there are enough pansies in the nba. give me more ariza!

The guy who mentioned "Ariza's history and doing a terrible thing to Rudy F. last year." Ariza didn't do a thing to Rudy Fernandez intentionally. He went up to contest the shot instead of letting him get a dunk like any good defender would. Ariza was going for the ball and accidentally made contact with Rudy F's head. Rudy F had taken off on one foot causing him to lose balance when the contact occurred. Maybe he should run faster next time.
