I've started a league over at Yahoo. #85225 pw: biggio It's a 12 team, 23 player per team, rotisserie league. I figured we could do an offline draft here a cc.net, or somewhere else, and then I'd add them in manually since draft times currently suck. Any changes made to the scoring system can be made, so if you'd prefer something different, let me know. There are 10 spots available as Major and I have joined.
I'm interested in playing. See you there. I'll take a look at the rules & let you know of any suggestions I can come up with.
No suggestions from me - the setup looks good. And I might even fare pretty good without an evil 'autopick' draft.
The settings look good. I just hope the offline draft doesn't mirror Moe's minor league. Man, we were at it for a long time, right up until the season started. So, IMHO we need to set some guidlines to speed it up. Is it possible for everyone to come in on like a Saturday morning and try to have a draft blow out where we pick players for like an an hour and a half or 2 hours. It'd be like an online draft, minus the 2 minute time limit.
Not me, I work on Saturday mornings. That is the problem with trying to set up a draft. It is hard to get 12 people that are in different parts of the world together at one time. Trust me, I have had several experiences in the draft like Moe's and it was not slow. In fact it was one of the quicker ones I have been in. The problem was we started too late. Yahoo does have the option of using retro stats which is nice since you can technically draft into the season and still get the stats from opening day. If we start soon though it should not be a problem. CK
Maybe we should start a recruiting campaign. Somebody photoshop Uncle Sam with a phrase like "We want you, to play fantasy baseball... please... come on, we need you... I'm dyin here." Or we could go with Bush "I screwed up the Rangers until they were FUBAR. Now you can follow in my footsteps with Yahoo Fantasy Baseball." j/k Seriously, how do we get the word out? Maybe we should pimp the league in Chat during the next rox game. Who's with me.
Hahaha. Yeah, I might need to post this in another forum...we need to get some more people so we can start the draft.
