I'm not really sure if that changes anything, especially since he didn't clarify it. Just giving people more ammunition. Arenas and McGrady are cut from the same mold...neither one knows when to keep their stupid mouth shut.

I actually went to the game last night hoping to see him play a little.

This fake injury thing is an early example of what I'm talking about. Gilbert is closer to being his "normal" self than people realize. The "serious" Gilbert was nothing more than an act.

OT: Since you follow the Wizards closely, do you think Nick Young will ever be serious enough to be an effective rotation player over a full 82 game season? I don't watch the Wizards much any more, but it seems like the guy clearly has the talent to do very well.

Wouldn't surprise me if "serious" Gilbert returned for a little while because of the fallout over the fake injury.

This article is every thing that's wrong with online sports media today. It's all about story chasing instead of reporting.

As soon as the Wizards gave Arenas that massive contract, I knew it was bad news for them from here on out. I mean this guy just had a few major knee surgeries but the Wizards still handed him the max.

Anyone in their right mind should know Arenas doesn't deserve that big of a contract. He doesn't even worth a fraction of that contract. Series of major knee injuries along with his lastest gun woes have made this a bad signing. I know the Wizards are trying to erase their mistake by trading him. They should have known giving Gilbert that max would be a big mistake, but still they panic for a star.

But at least they have Wall which covers the wound a bit.
