[Yahoo] Dirk Nowitzki: LeBron James can have 'keys to Dallas'

My only concern with Dallas is Dirk and Chandler are both old, and Chandler is injury prone. It looks solid on paper but as the season goes on LBJ will have to carry the load just like in Mia. Houston's the only team that is decent without James, losing both Asik and Lin doesnt affect our team strength. IMHO this should be the Rox's selling point.

 

for 1 year? as compared to us that would be half a decade of the championship favorite? There are serious competitors in the Lebron sweepstakes, teams more favored than us, Dallas don't even meet the buy in price at that roster. Playing for monarchs is for high rollers, not geriatrics.

Dallas would almost certainly win back-to-back(-to-back) rings if they added James. But I just don't see it happening.

Maybe....but I'm not so sure. I think the dirkster has now committed to almost year long workouts. Ellis isn't going anywhere and chandler will be handled correctly by Carlisle. Carlisle does not believe in isolation ball, pound it and then make a move, he believes like in ball movement and taking the open shot.


The coaching difference between Dallas/Houston is staggering by the way.
