With the latest report on BSPN, I wouldn't be suprised if a deal happens by these next 7 days. Media day for the Nuggets is scheduled for the 27th and training camp opens a day later, so I'd be suprised if Melo is at training camp if he doesn't intend to sign that extension.

 

Maybe there is a connection between Houston and Melo?

Fast foward to the 45 second mark.

 

The one real advantage we have is that it's lebron's marketing company who stressed to paul that he should stay in the west to create a real rivalry, which undoubtedly has gone to melo too, and we're really the only western player in the game.

 

Anyone else happy that Thugelo is not coming to Houston?

We need a real solution at SF one way or the other, granted id agree with others that the ideal SF for us would be Wallace.

didn't know if that was posted but basically I saw this part...

and instantly I thought of the Rockets. We can offer up very close to that. We fall short on the "top-tier" young player but hey they aren't going to get everything they ask for and we can provide better first round picks than anyone else mentioned as a possible destination. Also when they say salary cap relief, I think this may be hinting to the fact they want to trade another one of there guaranteed contracts with Carmelo and we could use our TPE to acquire Chris Anderson...

I'm thinking more in the line of AB, Battier, Jefferies, Hill and Picks that will sway Denver to trade with us.

 

I think I would rather see Aaron go over buddinger. AB's contract expires next year and he's going to want alot of money. Another point guard, named Chris Paul, will also be avaliable. I assume Yao will take a pretty big
pay cut because of his reduced minutes, and CP3 will be interested in Houston if we have Carmelo.

This is very wishful thinking, but definitely not
impossible.
