Has anyone read the rumor about nets and 76ers doing a three way deal that sends melo to nets and harris to 76ers?

    http://hoopshype.com/rumors.htm

"With No. 3 overall pick Derrick Favors, multiple extra draft picks, and Devin Harris, whose $8.98 million contract could be parlayed into a serviceable replacement for Anthony in a three-team trade.multiple sources said: the Philadelphia 76ers. New team president Rod Thorn and GM Ed Stefanski – who formerly worked together in New Jersey – CBSSports.com"

    and 76ers out right:
    http://www.philly.com/philly/blogs/deep-sixer/

what happens if Nuggets get iggy...nets get melo...and we get nothing?

The very article says it's a trade proposal, i.e., something that one of US might make up if any of us were given a job to fill column space for a U.S. newspaper.

Why would the Sixers want Devin Harris if they're rebuilding?! I mean Harris is already 27, and turning 28 in a couple of months, his significantly older than the Sixers young core(except for Iggy). Not to mention they already have a young talented PG, in Jrue Holiday ... Why bring in someone that will just stunt his growth as a player?!...

To me the trade just doesn't make much sense from the Sixers perspective..

This is pretty much a regurgitation of the other Melo articles that have been coming out as of late, and once again, the Rockets aren't mentioned.

This article says that New York is still Carmelo's most preferred destination, which contradicts the article that started this 91 page thread...is he changing his mind or what?

I don't understand why some analysts see Houston as Carmelo's most probably destination, while some don't even view us as a possible destination.

Did I miss something? Has Carmelo said he no longer wants to play in Houston, or are butthurt Knicks writers pretending that we don't exist because we have all their assets?

Sadly this whole situation seems very drawn out and I get the feeling Melo is not concerned about the CBA and he wants to play out his year andto hit the free agency. I get the feeling there aren't many teams he would agree to sign with after being traded to, and this will hurt Denver's ability to trade him.

If the thread title is true, this is the most private expression I've ever seen.

Why not trade Yao now, before he breaks? We know he's breakable, and he'll break again. Trade him before he's broken and untradeable.

If he ever gets serious minutes again (30+), he'll break. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but soon, and for the rest of our lives.

There is no guarantee of that, at all....just because he broke once or twice does not mean he will again.

They totally reshaped his foot and redistributed his weight.....

I'm actually more worried about his other foot. Hehe On topic: I still believe Melo will end up wearing Rocket red and no, it won't be for Kevin Martin. ;)

    There's no guarantee of anything.

You can only reshape a foot so much. (Trust me, I'm a doctor. No, really.)

You can reshape an egg, but it'll still break.

Yao's foot has been reshaped. I once was concerned about this right foot but was told the arch was normal to flat, optimal for a man his size and girth. His left foot was the offending high arched foot that caused all these stress fractures over the years. It's been corrected.

Yep, good thing we are talking about a foot, and not an egg.

Big Z is the only data we have to go on, and he has been fine for like 7 years.

Yao is yellow on the outside, he can't be an egg. It's the wrong term.

If there is any white, it would be on the inside. He would be a banana or twinkie then. For an example, see Lucy Liu.
