I like Carmelo a a player, but dude has always had a problem keeping his mouth shut. In fact that is what has him on the block right now. Maybe Twitter is not such a good idea. I will miss him, but hey at least I got @50cent!

I'm about thiiiiis close to vetoing any player who "Twitters". Seems to be a beacon for assclownery. Did i really just read a worldwide celebrity offering money for someone to "slap the *****" outta some woman? Kidding or not, that is an assclown move...especially for a celeb currently in the media spotlight hoping to change teams.

When teams pack the paint they can still effectively defend the mid-range jumper. The point is that you cheat in and give up the open three in order to guard everything else. This is basketball 101, man.

And yes, teams need outside shooters. You need both to prevent exactly this.

P.S. Attacking the basket and shooting threes are the two most efficient ways to score points.

Bad day for Nuggets, potentially good day for NYK/Hou/LAC/Chi. This Carmelo/Twitter threat scandal chops his trade value in half.

You understood that his response was a general response to anyone that subscribed to his twitter and not just to you, right? By the way abdul, your posting has reached DD-esque levels. Just chillax a bit about the whole thing.

I think that this twitter "scandal" can only hastened things along. The less the Nuggets want to be involved with bad press, the quicker Carmelo wants to overshadow this news with the bigger news that he is taking his talents to...

So if anything else, it is good news for those that have been waiting with bated breath, perhaps the end is drawing near.

Who cares? You only WISH you had that much money to blow on frivolous amusements. If he wants to spend $5k for some lulz, more power to him.

Just proof that Melo is still a knucklehead.

Not a smart thing to do and could be actionable in a lawsuit.

Just because someone can play basketball does not make them intelligent.

Most likely for damages completely trivial to him. You're just envious that he can do whatever he wants.

If you click on his Twitter account now, he says it was hacked. Take it for what it's worth.

I'd be willing to believe it was hacked....problem is...this seems like the first thing to say when someone does something careless on Twitter.

Hacked? LOL...that is easy to find out....if the bed covers that the $$$$ is laying on matches the hotel covers where he is staying than he is screwed.

He should get fined by the league for this..

Like i stated earlier....... The mid range game is gone, which is a reason why the scoring has been down in recent years.

Don't feel bad you aren't the only person who feels that if it's not a 3 or a dunk the shot doesn't count. Oh yeah for your "basketball 101" (lmao), it's call a head fake then pull up for the jumper.

Go watch video of Sam Cassell. He was one of the last to play the game like this. Paul Pierce still plays this way at times also
